changes to sorn for cars

just went to re-sorn a vehicle DVLA wouldn't accept the number on the renewal form

so i phoned and it said a sorn is now indefinate

googling" changes to a sorn" brings up that it was announced it was changing on 15th dec but no date when it would be implemented

Thanks Fiona, nice to see you back on the boards, thank for the info, OH has a motorbike that has a sorn and we didn't know that.

Another note  After October this year you will not be able to sell a car with tax on it anymore, it will have to be surrendered and the new owner has to re apply.

Actually this "No tax disc" system has taken all the fun out of taking a chance and driving round the streets with an out of date tax disc - awe, shame

Been doing my cars on line....... wonder how long it will be before there is a monumental **bleep** up with the new system?
