Work Hours

I wondered if someone just may know something on here about this so i will ask. can anyone tell me if i am a Part time worker and have a set contract of hours per week, if my company want to cut my hours do they have to give me notice of this?. This might have happened to some people so maybe you could advice me?.

Same as if they want to have you working from 8am to 4pm and change it to 12 to 8pm they give you a months notice..

Or like some firms i worked for as an agency worker, these are your hours now work them or dont bother comming back..............usually ment dont bother comming back as a way out of having to pay contractual fees to the agency, because the agency worker has broken his/her contract.

Sorry just looked at these. Thank you for your advice. I think some companies think they can bully you into submission but they did not reckon on me coming along LOL.LOL. I have heard no more about it as of yet but will keep this thread updated when i do!!!. I think we are just numbers nowadays. :(.

TOMMY do you mean that even if they keep the same hours but change the time you do them they still have to give you notice of this????. I just want to get this straight thats all. So i know for reference.

They should give you notice in writing of any changes to your contracted hours.

I dont know were you work..but after a year you should get a full time job with them.. I hope they have a union you can talk too.. you have the same rights as a fulltime worker..
