Right, the whole sorry business will soon be over sooooooo
1/ Who do you think will win.
2/ Who do you want to win?
There's no ifs, no buts, one of them has to win.
The American election for President I mean.
It's life Jim, but not as WE know it.
Live long and prosper.

Clinton - but not because I think she's the best candidate. Just because she's the lesser of two evils.

Clinton to Win electoral College by quite a few
but Trumpet will run her Close, if not beat her in the Popular vote, which could cause more problems
In a perfect World I'd want neither, but certainly not the crooked 6 times Bankrupt Snake Oil salesman with the variable fake Tan, who is certainly not as portrayed, a successfull Businessman - He's lost 2 fortunes and destroyed 1000s of small Businesses after intentionally going into Bankruptcy 6 times.
it's like having a choice between Mussolini and Franco

I think it'll be a very close call.
Lesser of two evils is a phrase I've heard several times this morning, whichever candidate they were talking about.
Amazing in a country the size of America these two are the best on offer.
Clinton will have the immigrant vote,Trump, the anti immigrant lot will be on his side.

Well I will stick my neck out and say Trump will win.
Although in my opinion I feel he is arrogant, even bombastic, but I feel he will get the job done, and make a good go of it.

Well, the polls have opened now, it'll be over 12 hours before we get a hint of how it's gone.
Anyone staying up to see what transpires? (No, not me)
I'd prefer Hillary to win.

I hope it's a draw and they both have to live in the Whitehouse together. They deserve each other!

Haven't really followed it much, too depressing. Neither appeal to me.

I remember when Barack Obama was first elected, I didn't think the US were ready at that time to elect a black guy to the White House, but he became one of the most popular Presidents of recent times. I think a lot of Americans today have similar feelings about electing a woman to the Presidency but if the only alternative is a self serving imbecile I don't think there can be much doubt over which way the vote will go. As others have said she may be the lesser of two evils but I would still bet on Hillary Clinton.

Yes, got an online meet up starting at 11pm on Facebook,
The election coverage by this facebook group has been the only funny part about this whole affair

One of my American friends has said it will serve her right if she wins. She'll have to sit at the desk that Monica sat under.

A prime example of how all you need in this world to have the power, is money, mouth & attitude..........that's America all over.........admirable......NOT !! To pick a winner is to imply I care........I don't. I don't care about a country who push this special relationship " Carp " when all they really care about is themselves......obvious to all but the fools of this world. A country where money talks totally and buys loyalties, friends, life and death. A country of plea bargaining, where justice can be bartered over; like haggling in some market place. A country with a democratic system, which allows a president from one party and a senate controlled by the opposing party; no wonder nothing gets done. A two party state.....take it or leave it, where you can pop down the road and buy a pint of milk and an assault rifle.........no thanks........keep it !!

So it's President Trump! They have a divided country...much as the UK is divided after the EU referendum. If he can find some grace, he may even become a good president. After all....didn't Ronald Reagan become a very popular President?....And he was just an actor.
09-11-2016 10:01 AM
An actor.........in fact, the very one prerequisite needed to make a good politician.![]()

It's all over bar the shouting?
I woke up just before seven (every day's as good day if you wake up?), then went back to sleep and dreamed Trump had won.............
Heck, he has!!!!!!!
For a day or two the news will be full of pompous news correspondents, smug "political experts", know-all "Political Editors" and the rest of the minor news hangers-on.... then the news will focus on something else.
Thank goodness it's over.
It's life Jim, but not as WE know it.

He's got great hair and his laptop isn't a criminal. That's why he won.
