A new statue of Queen Elizabeth has been errected in Antrim Castle Gardens. Some have criticised it but what's your opinion of it?:-

If you just showed that picture of the statue and titled it... ' Who is this', even with mulitple choice answers I'd be hard pushed to see this, as any resemblance to our late Queen. 🤔

Hmmmmm, that was an excellent way of describing it. 😀

I thought it looked nothing like her.

Nope, the sculptor must have been looking at someone else?

It;s nothing like our late Queen. And it doesn't look very good, artistically. Mind you, I am an admiter of classical Greek art so maybe I should lower my expectations!

When you look at some ancient or classical statues, they're sooooo good you almost expect them to come to life. That one that's supposed to be the Queen, looks more like a bag lady!
I found a pic of the Queen with her bag and her dogs but ebay doesn't like it so the link won't show.

That's supposed to be Queen Elizabeth II? Crikey.
It looks more like the actress Annette Badland wearing an outfit from Game of Thrones. And the Duke of Edinburgh looks more like Alan Turing.
I do hope it was free.

The help of Alan Turing's brain definitely wasn't used to sculpt that!

Maybe the sculptor needs a trip to specsavers.
