what would you like to see new when the new mods take over... I would like an edit button...... and it takes 5 or 6 people to report someone..

Well I've wanted an "edit" button like this one for ages but they won't let me use it when posting on here:-
What else would I like? I'd like the BUP and all the other rules re-written so that they were definitive, not ambiguous and very clear.

What I've always had a problem with, is if someone says something about you, and you respond, you get a slap but the person who said the BAD thing in the first place never does. That's always seemed a bit unfair to me and very one sided..

Ebay (after someone's reported you) see your response as an "interpersonal dispute" depending on how you word your response.

Good thread, Tommy
I would like to see a much harder line taken against some of the so-called 'respected' regs on Seller Central etc. who try to pretend they work for eBay and think it's acceptable to gang up on poor unsuspecting OPs and publicly humiliate them regarding their selling practises/business registration etc
These people are trolls... nothing more, nothing less and should be dealt with accordingly as it is not only off-putting to new posters but it is also damaging to the community and to eBay's image in general.
I would HATE to think that I might unwittingly buy something from one of those characters... brrrr!!
I would also like to be able to use HTML in posts again 😉

I don't know anyone who tries to pretend they work for eBay, Lola. ?:|
If they did, they'd soon be shot down in flames by others. 😐

Ah..the pink on this thread makes some interesting comments - sounds hopeful (in theory anyway)!

We can only hope they change something as ebay can read this and take a hint..
'WHAT CHANGES WOULD YOU LIKE TO SEE ON EBAY DISCUSSION BOARDS'
For the simple reason it would be a complete waste of time.

Petal, what do you mean?
You can't edit AFTER you've posted?
You can write, preview then go back and edit but once your post is on the board.....?

for me it would be that the mods are adults who actually have a life, who actually know about life and are educated enough to understand this is an adult forum.

NO zero feedback posters allowed on discussion boards.
To take part on these boards, you must have a score of 10.
Easy fix for current Ebayers with posting IDs is 'History as a board user' exempts you from this rule.
This would solve the biggest problem on the RT at a stroke.
Including the WELL KNOWN POSTERS doing it, because they think everyone will blame 'M' & his mates or other past trolls.
They should still be allowed on all Help/information boards

Agree there Al then it may make a few poster think again about the errors of there ways if they have been causing trouble.

..Even some sales would help as a troll isnt going to sell something to get on the boards.

If a well known poster is doing it they should be named and shamed..
