Watching the Parliamentary debate on the bombing question today, I am still undecided as to how I feel about it. Can I ask all our friends on here...If you were an MP in Parliament today and had to cast your vote this evening...how would you vote?

Of course, before we all get sucked in to believing the rhetoric about how IS is not representative of Islam; looking at some facts regarding the biggest Islamic Kingdom on earth, might make one wonder.

I hear what you say evoman. Comparisons between the two are nothing new and they haven't gone unnoticed.  A few weeks back I saw a video posted by an Israeli newspaper showing a woman being beheaded in the street while a crowd of Saudi police stood by and did nothing. I thought about posting a link but thought better of it, it was so distressing to watch. About a week later I heard of this guy's appointment to the UN Human Rights Council.

Absolutely staggering hypocrisy.

So far the missions into Syria have been small but precise, degrading the ability of Isis to launder money through oil. While in the US a couple thought to be Isis sympathisers go on a shooting rampage. So the fundamental islamist Ideology seeks maximum terror, The fundamental Loony Left ideology says ignore them as if they were internet Trolls. That leaves a large majority from all walks of life who are thankfully prepared to defend themselves and not be dictated to by one minority or another, Not warmongers just average people wanting to live their lives free from the threat of terrorists.

I need to catch up here. Well so much is happening.

'While in the US a couple thought to be Isis sympathisers go on a shooting rampage.'

You mean the couple in my attachment picture: Tashfeen Malic & her husband  Seyed Farook?

We also have the latest attack at a London tube station at Leytonstone. Both these attacks are now being treated as terrorist attacks.

The US Attack is not something that happened because of the events at a party. Who keeps a truck load of pipe bombs at home, just in case someone teases him at work?

Not sure whether this mornings event in London was a planned thing or the actions of a frustrated sympathiser. The American incident seems weird but I agree why would anyone need pipe bombs.

Meanwhile in one of the worlds poorest countries Chad, suicide bombers walked into a market and blew themselves up killing at least 27 innocent people. What threat does Chad pose to muslims? Has the stop the war coalition condemned it, mentioned it, explained it or are they still too busy sending death threats?

It's hard to keep tabs on all these grievances various peoples all over the World have got, but ultimately, I guess, there is one common denominator..........somebody who feels they have got nothing worth living for, has got everything worth dying for.

Chad is a close partner with the US in 'fighting Al Qaeda" and Boko Haram.

Chad Muslims make up about half the population but are not Sunni Muslims and are therefore 'apostate' according to radical Sunni Muslims.

Looking at the RT channel on TV, it appears that Russia now have proof; that Turkey have not only been buying Oil from ISIS, but that injured IS fighters have been, are are continuing to, receive treatment in Turkey. As Turkey is now a NATO member, this has serious implications for the rest of NATO and how they would be expected to react; if Turkey were attacked, or any retribution was dished out to them. Obviously, incorporating the first Islamic Country into NATO; worked out really well didn't it.............Not !!

"Oh what complicated Webs we weave, when we conspire to deceive"

Not knowing who your friends are, has always been the question among our species in this World; but at this point in history, it has reached new heights. I remember a prominent politician once saying, that if we only traded with our friends.......we'd starve. So, as we all sleep with Dogs, it would appear we ALL have fleas. So it's down to basics........"Last Man standing........Wins".

Paris isn't in the UK last time I checked so I'm at a loss as to why my taxes are funding air stikes in Syria when we have enough home grown issues to spend much needed funds on.  The last time this happened Blair was labelled a war criminal by every PC type but bizarrely the majority of hypocrites seem to have forgotten where that got us and here we are again.  Personally I'd rather our government concentrated on funding the NHS, the police force, education etc rather than the war effort.

You are right RD Paris is in France, a couple of hours by train from London. The actions being taken are measured and fall far short of previous escapades thank goodness. The Fact that some people oppose any form of retaliation is healthy in a democracy but it does not mean those who do support it are Hypocrites, I for one would negociate tomorrow if there were a viable body to negociate with but there isn't.

As for the NHS it is pretty good as it is and if we could rid it of the whinging hypochondriacs, Tummy achers, Bed blockers and extended paid leave seekers I reckon the benefits would far outweigh chucking more money at it.

Absolutely right Archie, there is no negotiating with cutthroats whose only intention is to murder or enslave you, I too wish that this crisis had another solution.

As regards our health service, I read recently that 51% of NHS employees have no medical training whatsoever. No prizes for guessing who are the highest paid in the organisation.

Meanwhile after an urgent summit called by Jeremy Corbyn and Lindsey German to discuss their response to the flooding in Cumbria and North Lancashire a rapid response team is on it's way from tower hamlets to help bail the victims out.

I don't hate people enough to kill them, I hate them for making me HAVE to kill them and in doing so; make me less of a person for having to do such a thing, but if I must kill them.......then kill them I will. There are no winners in war, just survivors; with memories of those they once loved and have lost forever.

I think CD was suggesting it is a bad idea to have a guy who protested against apartheid in the 80s as a Prime Minister.

Much better to have a PM who likes being 'gobbled' by dead pigs and hangs around with people who set fire to restaurants or £50 notes in front of homeless people.

Well I would normally ignore your vile comments.

And I wont quote your last two lines.  Neither will I report it. But I certainly will mention it here. Others can read them #437.

And maybe wonder how you (so far) have got away with it?

I have to be on the side of opposing war, it has never solved anything and as far as I'm concerned it never will. As to what to do about IS and the atrocities they are commiting I'm not sure, but there has to be a better way than causing death and destruction.
