The 'RANT THREAD' (thread).

So, what gets up your hooter ? What makes your hackles rise, so much so that even just thinking about it, practically induces an apoplectic fit ? Could be anything, a news item, something you encounter in everyday life, drivers/driving, work/housework, public transport, politics/politician, a TV programme, teenagers, a certain commodity or product, a celebrity, mode of dress, a sport, social media sites, mobile phone users, advertising, tattoos, the weather, tin rattlers, technology, bad service, modern architecture, overuse of the word 'amazing', certain music, user manuals, call centres, a neighbour, anything at all that gets you all steamed up.

They say just letting vent on paper has a cathartic effect. Dusty Springfield, when something annoyed her, would buy a bag full of cheap crockery from Woollies, and smash it all individually up against the wall. Now I'm not advocating going to that extreme - anyway Woollies shops are no more - but unbutton your waistcoat, loosen your stays, and just put it all down in typeface on here. You'll feel much better for it. Honest.

Please Note. Be mindful of the Board rules and regulations. No foul language please.

Go...

Mister EMB

Re: The 'RANT THREAD' (thread).

Why does every single thread on RT always end up being about migrants and immigration??

This started off as a really light-hearted, fun thread. What happened? There are plenty of other threads about immigration, please leave this one alone !!!

I'm not only talking about RT either. I was posting on a really nice thread yesterday till the usual killjoys came along and spoiled it grrrr!!! grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!

And where the heck has the OP disappeared to?? He should be here on the door stopping all these ruffians coming in  Woman Tongue

Re: The 'RANT THREAD' (thread).

He has vowed never to sett foot in here again, it is out of character for him to leave a place he has enthusiastically supported over the years however his heart is no longer in it and his Bunions are giving him hell. Recently he took on a new role as Joe McEldery's manager and is hoping to sign up Gareth Gates and Clair Balding too.

I agree that. The thread has been side tracked and we have alternative threads on which appropriate comments can be made. I think it would be great to have some alternative thread subjects like, where do guardian readers buy their clothes or why are masons subjected to bad press, will Jeremy Corbyn be the saviour of Labour? There is much to go at but too few to. Contribute.

Bit late Lola? As far as I can see, attempts to divert this thread into being about "migrants and immigration" were way back on page 1 & 2 - by the same poster no less: https://community.ebay.co.uk/t5/The-Round-Table/The-RANT-THREAD-thread/m-p/4369638#M161882

I wasn't pointing fingers, BH don't get all defensive.

You did make me laugh with the feral pensioner line though which is most unusual because I don't normally laugh at anything you say lol

Thanks. I think.  Must admit, I do laugh at quite a few posts on here, especially the ones from my fan club.

Re: The 'RANT THREAD' (thread).

Yes he has flounced, lost his Dentures in the process but lucky devil picked up a new pair at a car boot sale. If he does come back it will be after the football season finishes. He found a season ticket for Workington Town and the beer is cheap in the club bar so that's him sorted.

Now about those comments made by a certain leftist delinquent which featured the word Feral, My advice would be not to engage with that sad individual, If you do then feral will be replaced by Hitler, Goebbels, racist, homophobic in fact anything that might offend you but have no basis in fact.

And I'm sure they do likewise!

Anyway stop trying to drag me into your arguments. It's got nowt to do with me. I like everyone on here  Woman Wink

I think you should kick start the thread again by having a good old rant go on you know you want to......

That's not very nice. I'm not sure Start-The-Fire would appreciate being referred to as a "leftist" tbh...

OK then....Here's a few more things which grinds my gears...

Wasps - pointless things. Any why, no matter how fast you run in any direction, are they omnipresent 20cm behind one of your ears?

Flatulence (by someone else) in enclosed spaces.

Bunny boilers. Nuff said.

People who complain loudly in restaurants, but then when the waiter/waitress attends to them to ask "is everything alright?", they simply reply "yes, fine" with a beaming smile.

Bindweed. Nuff said.

I hear EMB on the word "amazing". However, it's not the 'use' of the word which irks me but rather how it's pronounced. eg.

Good amazing = Did you see that goal Messi scored the other day, it was amazing.

Bad amazing = Did you see Tracy Emin's latest artwork consisting of a pile of used sanitary towels?..it was a-m-aaaazing (complete with shut-eyed exaggerated facial expressions)

Camping, especially when you wake up in the morning on a damp, deflated air mattress.

Companies who randomly phone you at home asking for proof that's it's you they're really speaking to.  "No, i'm not the householder actually, I was walking past number 30, and I heard their phone ringing, so I kicked their door down so I could answer it."

People who ride bikes on pavements.

People who drive Mobility scooters in the middle of the road.

Random pubic hairs popping up in places they shouldn't be. I mean, on bars of soap etc - fair nuff. Inside the packaging of a Sat-Nav...Bang out of order.

People who use the word "nuff". It's spelt "enough" you cretin!

Think that'll do for now...

Re: The 'RANT THREAD' (thread).

Your obsession with thread killing is bettered only by your ability to be personal and get away with it. Is it not time for you to show a little maturity when posting and stop this constant stoking of fires simply to prevent people expressing a view you happen to disagree with. I see a mod has popped in with advice, why should that be necessary? The answer to that is your refusal to allow people an opportunity to air their grievances and allowing others to make up their own minds. For one who rambles on about fairness and injustice you set a really poor example.

Your post made me howl with laughter Mr Hunter LOL

Who knew you could be so entertaining and I agreed with most of it (worryingly) apart from the flatulance (people in glass houses and all that  Woman Embarassed) and the pubic hairs in the sat nat..what the?? Actually I'd rather not know LOL

You should show that side of you on here more often, really.

Thanks for brightening up my afternoon  Woman Happy

I don't want to get involved in this argument but I do agree with Archie as I've said the exact same things to you myself in the past

Man SurprisedWoman Surprised

I think that perhaps YOU might get out a little less, and  have allowed the one who was asked to reply.

(You took 14 minutes. Still waiting for his after about 22hrs.)

Then we all might have been better informed?  In this case it was your friend BH.

'Pot,kettle springs to mind'? Oh really Man Wink.      His kudos suggests he answered it very well indeed.

Right might be back tomorrow?
