Mad, ignorant, racist, bigoted egomaniac, Trump seems to have blown his chances of going for the US Presidency.
Breathe a sigh of relief.
Washington (CNN) Donald Trump's statement that Muslims should be banned from entering the United States "disqualifies" him from being president, the White House spokesman said Tuesday.
"The fact is what Donald Trump said yesterday disqualifies him from serving as president," White House press secretary Josh Earnest said in Tuesday's press briefing. For a White House administration to so heavily weigh in on an opposing party's nominating contest is a highly unusual step.
Earnest noted first that every president must take an oath to "preserve, protect and defend" the U.S. Constitution, and thus, he said, Trump would not qualify.
"For Republican candidates for president to stand by their pledge to support Mr. Trump, that in and of itself is disqualifying," Earnest said. "The question now is about the rest of the Republican Party and whether or not they're going to be dragged into the dustbin of history with him. And right now the current trajectory is not very good."
And Pentagon spokesman Peter Cook on Tuesday said -- without hitting the Republican front-runner by name -- that Trump's comments put U.S. national security at risk.
"Anything that bolsters ISIL's narrative and pits the United States against the Muslim faith is certainly not only contrary to our values but contrary to our national security."
He also said that there are "many men and women in uniform today of Muslim faith who are serving this country patriotically."
The U.S. is working with Muslim nations right now, Cook noted. "We want to, in essence, take the fight to ISIL with the help of Muslims around the world."

LOOOOOL....can someone translate that for me please? That sounds remarkably similar to the sort of thing that immature teenagers put on their phones.

"LOL" = "Laugh out loud" (with a few extra "OOO"s).
I LOL'd because your post was deserving of a Gold Medal in terms of irony. It also appeared remarkably similar to the sort of thing you'd expect from an uneducated pensioner....which is not surprising considering they form the largest demographic of Trump's support base.

I can quite easily see quotes starting with "I don't support Trump but...." catching on over here with the usual suspects.

Correct, but what I find objectionable is why the Yanks drag the UK in to the equation just to deflect from their own short comings, notably that the USA as a super power is a spent force and no amount of posturing and puffing out their chests like randy pigeons is going to change that.
The main reason that the world is in such a mess now is due mainly to the American foreign policy and in their intention to control Iran which they started back in 1977 when they ousted the Shah and replaced him with the Ayatollah.
But now that their actions in the middle east is possibly going to cause trouble in their own backyard they are running around like headless chickens.

"Nasty personal drivel"? I do apologise - I must refrain from using the word "wingnut" in order not to offend racists, uneducated pensioners, and hardline GOP supporters.
I keep forgetting "free speech" is a one-way street within the mindset of the aforementioned types.

Can someone who freely admits to being an uneducated pensioner, ask why DTs rant against Muslims has led to him Being branded racist?.
As far as I have been led to believe Muslim is not a race, but a religion.

It's not just Muslims in DT's crosshairs:
Also, when you have the likes of the KKK's David Duke backing Trump's comments regarding Muslims, I think it's pretty clear DT's message is one that will resonate with, and encourage racists:

It goes back further than that, in 1927 Trumps father was arrested with seven others in connection to having affiliations with the KKK and as the saying goes the apple doesn't fall far from the tree.

Some of the posts i've read on the net about Trump could be interchangeable with the name Farage as most of their supporters seem to be singing from the same hymn sheet, his hardcore supporters on RT have been a bit quiet about him lately....
12-12-2015 10:06 PM
Aye. And DT's Grandfather was apparently a tax-evading pimp!

I'm wondering if there's anyone in the Trump family tree who is *not* a narcissist?

Hey you leave poor Nigel alone. Let him finish crying into his pint in peace.
On another note, bearing in mind UKIP want to privatise healthcare, legalise guns, and bring back the death penalty, perhaps Kippers are the ones who should move across the Atlantic.

Well DT is not much better than his grandfather in respect to evading liabilities.
His businesses have filed chapter 11 bankruptcy's four times ( the casino business went down owing 3 billion dollars in 1991} but DT always seems to come out of it unscathed.

I do like Twitter.
Trump: "Thank you to respected columnist Katie Hopkins for her powerful writing on the U.K.'s Muslim problem."
Someone's reply: "She's about as respected as your haircut is admired, you hoofwinking bunglecnut. Who you touting next? Jimmy Savile?"
14-12-2015 9:49 PM
Wait until he drops out at the last minute and runs as an independent and leaves the Republican vote in turmoil, posts about him will make that reply seem very tame.

If that happened, he'd probably have to leave the country and seek asylum somewhere! I guess Mexico is off the list.
There's a conspiracy theory doing the rounds that Trump is doing the Clintons a favour and running a False Flag campaign to make the Republicans look completely ridiculous and unelectable.
14-12-2015 10:14 PM
I saw that - it's funny.
Still, he does play golf with Bill I believe. I wouldn't want to be too friendly with the Clintons given the trail of bodies behind them. Well I wouldn't want to anyway! There are a lot of people who have died, including one described as suicide (shot in back of head) and another decapitated who apparently died of natural causes ![]()

The conspiracy theory might have an element of truth in it.
He was a life long Democrat and is now suddenly a Republican, he is also a long time friend of the Clinton's.
He has picked on the three things that get the typical yank going in to overdrive.
1..Building a brick wall between Mexico and the USA to keep aliens out.
2..Muslims not being allowed in to the States.
3..The right of yanks to bear arms.
14-12-2015 10:37 PM
But then again, a conspiracy theory along similar lines was floated about Dubya and he got elected. Twice - even if one of those times was thanks to Jeb's people diddling polling booths in Florida.
14-12-2015 11:57 PM
Dubya by hook or by crook had to be re-elected to carry on what his father had started back in 1990 and which is and has been Americas main objective in the middle east total control of Iran.
Even Robin Cook hinted as to the rigging in his resignation speech.
