aarrghhh....it's Osborne, (a.k.a.) Mister Silly Face.......*leaves thread in abject terror*

Leaves thread having had a good laugh which was much needed.
He's probably gone under now he knows the automatic heirdom of the position of First Lord of the Treasury which had been totally undemocratically bestowed upon him by his lord and master, has been removed.
It wasn't called Game of thrones for nothing - never count your throne until you sit on it.

I realise the image of Mister Sillyface has been caught in an unguarded moment in the OP, but even under normal circumstances, he has a face like a plate of sushi. Couldn't BBC and ITV issue a warning whenever he is about to make an appearance ? Maybe an orange triangle ?

People know I can't stand the Man
But ever since Friday, Osbornes been in crisis meetings with Treasury civil servants, the Bank of England, other Financial Leaders from Europe & the USA, trying to stop The economy, the markets and the pound from going down the Pan
The leavers are trying to say the pounds ok, its just went back to February levels - playing games with statistics - Feb was the last big Dip
We are below that level, even though every single resource is being used to bolster the pound and I mean every single resource.
That is what Osbornes been doing, putting all those resources into action. Thing is these resources are not limitless.

Check the FTSE
the Banks shares are crashing
UK companies shares are crashing
The FTSE is only being held up , by the Foreign shares on it, rising to nullify the large British loses

Osborne is doing what he's paid to do and he has to be at these meetings but I hold no faith that he's actually the person who's making or trying to make a difference.
But, all this financial crisis does not have to happen or be as bad as it is.
No-one is holding a gun to anyone's head and forcing them to buy or sell like crazy to affect the markets. I know that's a bit over simplistic, but those people manipulating the markets do so for their own ends and not for the greater good of any nation.
If they didn't want to recognise the possibility that the UK would vote to leave, then all of 'them' who control these things have no business being allowed to mess with the markets.
I am so tired of this horrible nasty divide between people that is caused by so much greed and power.
There is more than enough of everything to go around, to allow those who want to acquire wealth to do so responsibly and those who just want to life a peaceful but settled and secure life to do so.
We live in a rotten twisted world that is all to do with human 'development' and there are too many now who are all about the great 'ME ME ME ME ME'.
None of them wil suffer, just the people who only had one vote, one chance to have a tiny voice and now even they are being mercilessly bullied into submitting to changing their voice, being labelled selfish, stupid, nationalist and all because they had the temerity to say what they believed.
Horrible.

Meanwhile Jeremy Corbyn holds his first post brexit shadow cabinet meeting. Although his chancellor was excused to sell copies of the Big Issue, newly appointed Edna Ferret his last loyal MP has taken over all other roles.

Unfortunately, I agree with you; but that's the downside of giving people too much freedom, to do exactly what they want, with no parameters..........other than their own........which as we can all see, only too often, is non existent in MANY people. The funding in the political system is totally wrong IMHO and adds to division in this country. The mercenaries in our society fund the conservatives and the working class fund Labour. Once again, knowing as we do, that the top 5% hold 80% of the wealth ( that's just for example purposes & I'm not sure of the actual figures ).....is obvious that they can muster up / spare far more money, to buy the result they want. I'm afraid the imperfections in this country & its people, have become more & more evident........it just took this referendum to shove it in peoples faces, who otherwise refused to see it.

And the sheep that make up the electorate insist on voting for the party rather than the best man or woman to do the job - we get what we deserve.
Even the arguments over the referendum were fronted by the professional party politicians whilst those who actually knew what would happen in the case of either result were silenced or shouted down by the politicians.

I'm glad you've posted again, Creeky as we should have differing viewpoints.
I am so deeply distressed at this whole horrendous mess from start to finish.
The whole debacle has been so appallingly handled that this horrid division and hatred could be the only outcome.
I am not surprised in some ways about the reaction, but I am surprised at the totally unacceptable name calling by people in power against those who excercised their rights to vote as they felt was right.
I don't care whether someone voted to leave or remain, the rampant vilification of those who voted to leave, the halo-alloting of those that voted to remaiin, the refusal to actually listen to what is really being said and see what is happening is just too staggering to take in.
It is utterly overwhelming and just so vicious.
I'm not sure the Remains will have their way, but if they do, I believe we will be in a far worse position than ever before because we will be forced on our knees by those few who are power crazed at the top of the EU.
"Democracy in Britain doesn't mean majority rule. It's not the tyranny of the majority or the tyranny of the mob ... it's the representatives of the people, not the people themselves, who vote for them."
So there you have it - what the majority want and vote for is not what they get - because those in power may not want them to have it as it doesn't serve the interests of the small, power holding minority.
I have seen people panic-posting, ME ME ME, about whether they are welcome any more in this country or have to go home.
I have seen people screaming about how 'their' future is ruined - how do they know? All they want is their own happy spoilt lives to be the same as ever. They won't be if only they looked and realised what is on the cards and the dangers that unchecked EU expansion is causing?
But what about those who feel they have no future at all if we stay in the EU, or that the tuture it offers is horrendous and that we need to gives ourselves more options and freedom outside of the EU?
What about those who feel they are no longer wanted or even safe in their own country - who have nowhere else to go - who don't come from the rich and priviledged classes who've been trotted out to spout bland meaningless comments to support the Remain campaign, who have money and freedom to live wherever they want?
I am told I am not the future - but I may well yet live another 25 - 30 years, may well outlast a load of the young, ME ME ME brigade who haven't the first idea about what the EU is really about and where it is going.
I no longer feel safe. I feel vilified and loathed and threatened.

Lots of dosh to be speculated on from offshore thanks to Brexit supporter Sir Micheal Hintze and his son who worked behind the scenes with Brexit organisers.
And let us not forget that champion of the working classes Tim Martin who imposes zero hour contracts on his employees while extracting what little disposable income is available from gullible people.
But the real irony is that so many working class people were cajoled into voting to leave because of immigration, they have once again been bitterly deceived.
