Quite an eye opener. Doctors and nurses and other key workers risking their own lives to help people while the selfish care nothing about others or worse try to make a profit from the crisis, and the thugs and vandals show how ugly people can be.

Appalling behaviour by yobs such as this in the link make me despair and I wish this virus could be a karma corona.

Do you think that the Brits are worse than other Europeans? My feeling is that they are unless we don't hear about what has been going on elsewhere.

Indeed CD, the funds are now more than £18 million!  I think he said that while people are still giving he will keep walking! 

Schoolchildren all over the UK are making cards for his 100th birthday on 30th April.  He will be inundated! I wonder how many PO vans will be needed to deliver?!  There will be loads of virtual ones too online.

I see the Chinese ban on wild animal sales has been lifted and wet markets in Cambodia and Vietnam are doing a roaring trade after "doctors" claimed dog and cat meat was "natural without chemicals" and the people believe that eating it can "prevent colds and viral illnesses".

What sick irony.

A couple of cities in China have recently banned eating dogs and cats. It's a start I suppose. I hope the young people in China who I think are less convinced by these old beliefs can push to stop this cruel trade in both domestic and the wild animals that are endangered or a risk for virus transmission.
