South Africa Kidnapping

Incredible, after all these years.  That's why people like the McCannnes (excuse spelling) still cling to a glimmer of hope that their daughter is still alive.  There is no happy ending as such though, for decisions will now have to be made about who she will spend the rest of her adolescence with.  I totally agree with the judge though - her account was complete and total fantasy which deserved the contempt it received.  There are going to be a lot of confused emotions and regardless of how a compromise is reached, somebody is going to end up crying behind closed doors.

The confusion all feel must surely equal the shock and confusion Paula Yates felt when she discovered Hughie Green was her father.  Poor girl - she had a bad run for her money.  Jess Yates hated Hughie Green - now we know why.  I only hope the media leaves this poor girl alone.

All of them probably.  The girl no doubt loves the woman who kidnapped her, having believed all her life that it's her mother. The kidnapper obviously loves the girl to have raised her as her own, and the real parents who love her too and have had to live with the grief and worry of all the lost years.

The parents have their daughter back but have missed her growing up and don't know her, the girl has her parents back but she has also lost a "mother", and the kidnapper will lose everything.  Just deserts for every one but I don't think there are any true winners here.
