It is easy to criticise the media for reporting the police action and it would be just as easy for those who believe that they are wrong to do so not to read those reports.
Obviously not as easy to ignore TV and radio reports but it is clear from the details in the criticism posted on this thread that at least some have been reading what's been posted online and in the papers.

I wonder if the infamous Elm Lodge guest house and the equally infamous guest list will get looked in to? Hello Kitty?
I suppose the injunction that was in place will prevent any mention of Kitty at the moment?
It's life Jim, but not as WE know it.

Go on then. I dunno if a pic of the guest list would go down well though?

Why not? It's appeared in MSM, so no reason why it shouldn't be reproduced here

The BBC thinks this is the most important 'news' in the world today, the lead item on their 1 o'clock 'news' and on their website.
Pity they didn't pay as much attention when they were giving Jimmy Savile the run of their premises to carry out his foul deeds.

The principle sounds good as does the suggestion that individuals in such cases should be granted anonymity.
The problem with surrounding cases in secrecy is the danger that justice will not be seen to be done which can lead to justice not being done.
In addition there have been numerous examples over the years where pre-arrest/pre-trial publicity has led to evidence coming to light that otherwise wouldn't be made known which has helped to prove guilt or innocence..

The first contributor to dive in here - no surprise there tho' - had the man almost banged up in prison, without a mention of him being arrested or charged. In fact I'm not even sure at that point he'd even been interviewed. My advice to her would be take a deep breath, count to ten, and to curb her enthusiasm for the morbid.
Before the mob has Richard's head on a pole, maybe it would be wiser to await the outcome of this incident.

Did you have Bill Roache, (Ken Barlow) Michael Le-vell, (Kevin Webster) Freddie Starr, Jim Davidson, and Dave Lee Travers, (who despite not being found guilty is still under investigation) banged up as soon as the Press reported the alleged offences, and the Police had just commenced their investigations?

Call me cynical, but I wonder if someone has had a "good drink" out of this?
Yes I noticed that bit at the end of his statement, no interview conducted or charge brought and yet the press are all over it!
