Should this DJ have gotten bail ?

They are 'famous' in their own area btw, and were even sneaked into court by a side entrance to avoid media coverage.

They came home drunk alone, started an argument, then assaulted their spouse, Who then locked themselves in the bathroom, the door was kicked in and the assault continued. As the assault passed the top of the stairs they were then shoved down staircase. The attacker charged down stairs & started kicking and punching the stunned victim, they then jumped up and down on their head. The victims underwear was removed and an object was forced inside their body.

They were given bail X-(

is this justice ?

For a start they should use the same court entrance as everyone else, NO special privileges for thugs!

'They were given bail'

It beggars belief what idiots we have that suppose to get justice for the victim, no wonder these cowards never learn their lesson, they should have been jailed! that would have given them time to think about their actions:|

Should this DJ have gotten bail ?

What were the conditions of the bail?

Bail normally has to be granted unless the accused is likely to fail to turn up for trial, re-offend or serious crime is involved including rape, which going on what you say could be the case in this instance.

The other side of the coin is that many of those awaiting trial are held on remand for months even though their offence was one that would not normally merit a jail sentence.

'Was this in England?' - I doubt it. Looks like it's been copied and pasted from the good ol' U.S of A by the tone and language 'Gotten' etc. Who in the U.K says this?

Well... yes! it is justice, and completely impartial justice.

They were given bail, because it was an alleged attack, and, until it is proved, they are presumably innocent.

Or... do you disagree?

Innocent until guilty was the norm.  But now media coverage seems to decide a persons fate.

Guilty, once the media give a headline..is now the norm.

I really don't know if they are guilty, or innocent, ......  but I am not going to make a judgement based on a newspaper report that has been made solely to sensationalise, and sell newspapers.

I wouldn't say It's been MADE  'solely to sensationalise, and sell newspapers',

They're REPORTING/PUBLISHING the story~ after all that's what they get paid for!!

Ronny, ALL accused are 'innocent till proven' guilty, like the 2 Woolwich 'killers' should they be out on bail ? Remand centres & Remand halls in Jails, are full of people on 'silly' charges that have been refused bail.

btw , She has never denied it, she blames it on postnatal depression, but that didn't stop her going out with her mates and getting legless that night. Seems to be a defence, thats been thought up, after the fact.

I think She was bailed the next Day because She is Female and if it was the husband who'd attacked & did the same things to Her, He wouldn't have been released straight away .

Incident and arrest happened late last year, trial to take place later this year. Social media and other places are full of messages of support for this 'poor victim' , not heard a lot of sympathy for the Victim of the assault. She must have a good PR person 😉 and needs them, She is infamous around the Glasgow area & has been for many years.

Postnatal depression my a**e ~ there must be an awful lot of battered Husbands/Partners around then.

I suppose she'll blame other female problems if she looses her rag with her child~ when it gets older!:|

I suspect you are right, there is not much understanding or empathy for men abused by a female partner.

Whether it's true nowadays or not I don't know but not that long ago, a man making a complaint to the police, stood a good chance of being arrested or ordered to leave the house themselves.

The trouble is women haven't had equal rights for many years and when it comes to abusive relationships they are far and away at the top of the victim tree, despite laws in place to protect them.  That's not to say men are not abused sometimes but they are in the minority and any complaint they make should be taken very seriously and I hope it is nowadays. No one should be subjected to physical or mental abuse in a marriage/partnership whatever their gender.

As for bail, I've no idea if it's right or wrong because I don't know all the details.

I suspect though she was released because she has a young child... not because she's female...
