I know user Id is (something)4u.
without the brackets of course.

That user ID is registered in the US and is only just over a year old.
There is no activity with it.
Without wishing to offend, are you 18 years old or over, because if not, you'll get nowhere trying to reclaim a lost ID.
In fact, if you have no information about the account at all, then really you're wasting your time trying to reclaim it.
If you are 18 or over, and you have not been previously banned from eBay on any other account, you can simply continue to use this one, or any other you wish to register, each needs a different email account, but keep the registered details the same.

I was going to do what you said about using this account but I wasn't sure if I would get into a great deal of trouble for doing so.
as far as I know I've never been banned from using ebay and indeed I'm nearly 19
thanks for the reply.

Ideally, dormant accounts should be closed as there is the potential for scammers to take them over and use them.
In this case, I'd say just continue with this ID and enjoy eBaying.
Re the iPhone issues, be aware that many people find they can only see part of a listing when they search and key information is often missed.
So if in doubt, when you find an item you might want to buy, try and look at it on something with a larger screen such as a pc or laptop. I don't know about tablet things, they may be the same as pcs.
