Something seems to have been feeding from the plate already, but I don't know what. I go to my mothers in the afternoon and when I got home there was only about half of what was there when I left. Not much scattered around either, so quite a success all round.
Unfortunately its started snowing again and is windier than yesterday, so no birds at all today and although I've put more seed mix on the plate it's getting covered in snow.
Looking out the window the only birds I can see are two sea-gulls hunkered down on the chimney across the road, all the others seem to have taken cover in the hedges.

The birds have been flocking around my garden as I have put out an old tray with seed, worms, peanuts etc on it. This morning my OH called me because he said there was a Mistle thrush out there. Now I never get those so I was a bit suspicious! Turned out to be a Fieldfare...and indeed there were two of them! I was so thrilled as I have never seen one of those before. They were beautiful..but they did bully the other birds a bit. I am told that they come in from Russia in very cold weather. I love the birds, so I felt like I had had a small win on the Lottery! I took some pictures ...I will try and upload one.🤔
