Pete re picture of Earth from Saturn

Just found this.

I know it is a simulation, but does it appear accurate to you

After seeing your wonderful pictures of the moon, I was wondering if you able to photograph Saturn

hi mustard tree, sorry for te delay for a reply.

Nasa say the picture was taken on Friday 19 July by the space probe Cassini in orbit within the Saturian system. since Saturn was at close approach to earth earlier this month, i would say Nasa have taken a fantastic shot, reminissance to the voyager 2? photo of earth way back in the late 80/90's? taken from such a position that all the planets were only one pixal across, and earths pixal was just visable as a blue dot.

i cannot take such fantastic pictures of Saturn as seen by the space probes, but i have a few within my photo files, but they are crap, out of focus and over exposed, but since they were my first i am keeping them. but here is a picture taken by voyager way back in the late 70's.
