Come on old hands, how about coming back and making some interesting and constructive posts?
OK, so it seems certain things can't be said but that applies in many places and situations too. Being deliberately confrontationally aggressive won't hack it here now but surely there's some interesting things to say or make comment about?
To non-posters I say please post. I see all the views and wonder who the viewer is that's reading but not posting. Why not?

Some went for 101 because it was called reversi.
Usual snipes were hundreds, thousands, 69s and of course other reversi.

How about going back in time? Remember all those threads "AVG has updated"?

I am an old hand and non poster because I forgot my password and haven't stopped. And I have missed both the 69 and the 100. \Just ventured on after sending off applications and nostalgia got the better of me.

We have had a few faces turn up, others have posted and made the forum just a tad more active which is great, sad thing is that there remains a tendancy on the part of one or two not to practise what they preach. To insist on evidence and fact but making remarks founded on pure fiction. Who would have thought that a champion of keeping threads on topic would decide it doesn't apply to them, Then there is the poster who decides to make personal remarks and insults especially when challenged, the same poster who argues tenaciously against personal remarks.
Whatever took place in the past whether here or elsewhere you cannot maintain a viable forum if you cling to events and fairy stories which took place in an environment where hostility was the norm and which saw many excellent posters bullied into submission. Let us posters apply a degree of consitency and kick into touch all this personal rubbish which has no basis in fact.
Just thinking that's all (")

In days of old the acronym almost reigned supreme and I think that would have generated PKB?
The idea I had when posting this last week was to attempt to get a bit more action on here and hope some old hands would come back to the fold.
It's not brought a lot of old hands but at least I've provoked some more discussions.
How about we try a bit more posting this week?

If you live only in the past you will never move forward, acronyms have there place, a telephone directory comes to mind not here where it might be construed as insulting or unforgiving though I hasten to add it is not something I would ever advocate.

All you provoked was the same old same old discussion, same old hands and same old trolls, which leads nowhere for you, nor anyone else for that matter. But if that satisfies you and gets you through your day... keep on going.

Well 'Arry, if you think you can do any better at encouraging people (other than the same old crew from out yonder) to post, please start a thread and have a go?
Just to make it quite clear, I have no axe to grind with you so I hope no-one tries to make out that I have.

I have tried often enough to start a thread, I still do sometimes (maybe not the stuff that you might have posted on), but at some point one has to realise that the "old" days are gone and that the RT has moved on and changed. I have no need to attract posters that have left this place.
Life moves on, people move on, and there are new people to chat with on the RT who have new input, new ideas, new humour, new ways of expressing themselves. And I think that is what life is about...diversity and variety.
So I'm still happy to pop in here and see if I want to add something or not to someone's thread, and I will do that my way.
I will not be dictated to on how and what I should post. Anyone who has a problem with that can do as they see fit.
I'm one of those people who sees the glass half full and nothing is going to change that.

I often come in here with a glass half full, but if I stay too long it quickly evaporates.

Nah! no way!
Just visiting, after about a year of absence.
Byee!
Whoops! Well well!
I find my self having another look, just after my visit last week.
So... Mr CD ... maybe I will come back, and visit for a while, well, at least until I get my usual gardening leave.

I wondered where you'd disappeared to Ronnie.
I thought maybe you'd taken up gardening full-time, so glad that isn't the case
