Scotland Yard to launch new multi-million pound investigation into the disappearance of Madeleine McCann

POLICE are targeting more than 20 potential suspects - including two known sex offenders - six years after Maddie vanished in Portugal.
THE parents of Madeleine McCann were offered fresh hope yesterday with the announcement of a new Scotland Yard investigation into her abduction.
Home Office officials confirmed they would be funding a new multi-million pound probe into her disappearance six years ago.
We all are hope Madelein is alive and well.
Go Scotland Yard Go.
Find her alive and those who kidnapped her locked them away for the rest of their lives.

Like to know who wrote that piece for the Record (pro McCann paper from the onset)
seems they are firmly in the McCann camp, and have spun the story to the Parents advantage, yet again.
Btw
It was David Cameron who originally thought it was good publicity for Him to promise that the British Police would look at the case, when He met the Parents. Much to the dismay of the Home Office and others.
It is also stretching the meaning of the word 'suspects' way past breaking point, by mentioning 20. Most of these are potential witnesses, who MAY have seen something.
I still believe the 'guilty' have been in plane sight since day 1

She is 10 now, Tim, i think her birthday was in May, I know there's only a few weeks between her and my G'daughter..

She isn't 10. She would have been 10!

If she's still alive she will be.
I know it's a very slight possibility.

I know that case in America where three abducted girls were found alive after 10 years has given people hope, but that won't happen in this case.

I hope Scotland Yard prove you wrong CD.
I pray they find her alive.
Stranger things have happened at sea.

Agreed there Margaret.

I'm afraid I very much take CD's viewpoint on this one. Everybody's clutching at straws. The very last thing the police should have done is to reveal she has a right eye slash. It's almost certain she's brown bread. All the police are doing is going over the same ground time and time again. This is the Hindenberg case all over again. When a rambler goes missing in Australia they pull out all the stops - for three days. After that they stop searching.

We should never give up hope.

The "investigation" was bungled from the start.
We've been over it a few times before on here so there's no point in going over it again but whatever transpires from here in, there'll always be an element of doubt and a loophole to be exploited by anyone implicated.

Agree 023mjc
I certainly not going to give up hope.

I agree with you Tim, I hope she's alive but sadly, if she is, she won't be very well if she's been used by a pedophile ring. That's an enormous tragedy I think. The McCanns will be getting back a daughter with untold psychological damage. How on earth do you cope with that? 😞
I don't think Scotland Yard would be investigating her case if they felt in any way the McCann's were responsible for her abduction, despite David Cameron asking them to investigate the case. In my view I think they've suffered a trial by the press and facebook... and the bungling of the Portugese police. Time to sort it out and hopefully find her, although I fear she's been long dead. 😞

Scotland Yard is investigating the case because they've been asked to, but they're also a well trained force, so hopefully, when sifting through all the accounts of what happened the night Maddie went missing? they find some clue, or the culprits trip themselves up when being re~interviewed.
I'm certain they (The Mcann's ) know more than they're saying!
And if Maddie was found to be alive and returned to them ~then they've only got themselves to blame for the 'psychological problems' she would probably suffer from!
Who in their right mind would leave three children all under five on their own ~with no supervision.

My question is...
Would you keep looking if you had murdered your own child? Would you keep your face in the press? In the beginning that might have been a good idea to get others off your back, but now? Why take that risk over and over again that you might get caught in the end?
It doesn't make much sense to me to be honest.

Once they have a story, they stick to it.
