My Son the Hero

Well, my youngest is now a hero in our local Coop.

He popped in the Coop on his way home from work tonight and saw a shoplifter come hurtling towards him with several bottles of vodka under his coat so he swung into action and threw himself at the guy, whose head came into direct contact with James's shoulder with a crack. The guy fell to the floor and was caught by a security bloke and James was hailed a hero and got his crisps and Red Bulls on the house. My hero Woman Happy

Re: My Son the Hero

I bet the staff of the store were grateful to James for having stopped the shoplifter!  Nice that they let him have the crisps and Red Bull on the house for his efforts.

Re: My Son the Hero

I have no idea what your beef is with me, or why you keep following me round the boards sniping, or even why you  felt the need to remove some of your kudos left for me.

But just carry on, what you are doing says a lot more about you than it does me and you'll get tired of it long before I will.

Whilst I don't want to take anything away from PC Harper, who was brutally murdered by a gang of gypsies, or any other PC's who have lost their lives in the line of duty, whether their killers were gypsies, jihadis, rioting thugs, etc, I don't necessarily agree that in order to be justifiably described as a real hero you have to have either lost your life in the line of duty, or sustained life-changing injuries as a result of being attacked.  Standing up to lowlifes and stopping them - or at the very least, attempting to stop them - from carrying out their crimes, whilst at the same time putting yourself in danger, is just as heroic as dealing with a nutter with a loaded gun who could potentially kill you by shooting you dead at point blank range.  The act of placing oneself in danger in order to help others is, in itself, a heroic act, regardless of whether or not it results in lifechanging injuries or the loss of the life of the person who is standing up to the scumbags.

Re: My Son the Hero

Thank you for intervening.

I am interested to know since when are responders allowed to use very offensive/racist terms on the Boards in relation to a specific community without them being removed?  Your response would be greatly appreciated.

Re: My Son the Hero

They do it because they know their bothering you  and getting a reaction, so don`t give it the time and energy, children geneerally get bored after a bit 🙂

i have to agree with that, we are fine pulling up others over it, so we can`t have one rule for one and not another. i will say one thing though, you would`nt call them that to their face i tell you!
