WOMEN are turning to prostitution to feed their children as welfare reforms hit the poorest and most vulnerable families in Hull
.
Staff at the Lighthouse Project, a charity supporting street workers in Hull, have seen a increase in women turning to prostitution as unemployment rates soar and benefit cuts take hold.
so that’s what Osborne, Cameron and Clegg meant when they said work should pay
Prostitution for our countries young mothers

Hello Again: I don't think there is an American perception that suggest that British women as a group are selling themselves for food and sustinance, etc. I was actually basing my thoughts on the OP's thread title, "Mothers in Hull selling their bodies for food." Well, that and the weird stories I've heard about Hull... I'm not actually sure what the American perception on the subject is, or even if there is one.. And we in America are certainly not immune.
Please understand that I am not trying to speak from a "superior" vantage point here - just a distant one. In Einstein's exploding universe, all vantage points are equal, and we're all seeing the same thing. For instance, I would hate to contemplate the things going on in Detroit right now...

What makes me so mad is some of these people are poor before they have kids why on earth bring a child into your own poor life when you have nothing at all to offer them"
Why would people living on the minimum wage bring a child into their own poor lives when they have nothing to offer them?
Try love
Try Benefits more like, Why should children suffer if you have nothing of worth to offer them and I am not just talking money, make a better life for yourself before you brings kids into it.

The trouble with waiting to make a better life (whatever that means) is that many people work in minimum wage jobs and will do for the rest of their lives, does that mean that these people should never be allowed the joy and experience of giving and recieving love from a child of their own?,maybe we should means test prospective parents and monitor their bank accounts to check if they have made a "better life" to allow them to have a child, mind you the biggest benefit scroungers of them all the royals seem to have no shame in popping out kids right, left and centre
