I'm a student of Law myself currently, and recognise alot of users stating and defining legal terms. Just curious, how many legal professionalrs are on here?

Unfortunately I don't think this forum will get many responses, even though it is the right one for this question.

You can state legal terms and know about them without being a Proffessional. Can you not?.

A lot of people will actually be sniggering at this question.
Nothing against you at all, but there are a few notable posters on these boards who do seem to try to give the impression that they have legal qualifications. I doubt very much that they will be posting on this thread.

Would agree with you there Julie19090_0!
Although I seem to recall there was a regular poster - haven't seen him around in a while - who is or was a JP.

It's perfectly possible for a reasonably intelligent lay person to learn a lot about a small aspect of the law much in the same way as a person with a particular health problem can know more about it than their GP.
The same would apply to the average solicitor which is why a would be plaintiff is usually advised to seek out a solicitor with specialised knowledge of the legal idiosyncracies of their case.
Very often the knowledge that is needed can be found by simply reading the appropriate statutes.

''No win no fee'' A lawyers key to riches. Great idea wasn't it riccuk?
Often an incitement to sharp practice IMO. Well what have some got to lose if they do try it on?
Still it's better than ambulance chasing isn't it? And they say: ''Injury lawyers just for you''.
Its just for lawyers of course. Hate those ads.

I had a friend who was a Magistrate and asked him how they worked the sentences out, so he showed me. He had a special diary with recommendations printed in it and said when they "consult" each other before the Chaiman passes sentance its to make sure they are agreed (or all on the same page, literally ).

I've sold things to at least three lawyers that I know of, all of them pretty high powered.
I've also sold to a police person.
The badly behaved buyer was the police person.
I've only ever read one post on any of the forums from a practising solicitor. However, he gave a very level-headed answer to a seller querying if Ebay was discriminating against a particular group of people. Don't know if he sells or not.
Shame there aren't more real lawyers as plenty of cod legalese gets sprayed around from time to time on the boards.
