JFK .... 50 years on.

Previously unseen footage  of the shooting has been released using the 50 year rule.

Claims are being made that the headwound was caused by a shot from the driver of the presidential limo.

Here's a link to the video.

I'm afraid I cannot answer that! My own view is that it was as I say " a catalogue of errors" the Pathology reports are what I was originally commenting on!

Re: JFK .... 50 years on.

True Forensic Science rarely crosses horns with state level politics, but when it does it rarely comes out on top.  I submit that regardless of whatever happened, we will never be able to pin it down with a certainty.  As the story stands now, there are way too many unexplained parts, too many grey areas, to much confusion to say the least, for us to be contented.

It may very well be that there was really nothing much under the covers, so to speak.  But whatever information that has been kept back will remain so, for two reasons basic to politics and statehood.  They are:

1. NEVER give the public all of the information about anything.  In fact, give them as little as you can get away with.  Politicians want to make the decisions themselves, keeping power in their hands.  It certainly would not do to allow the public to have all of the facts and make up its own mind.

2.  Should the hidden story (IF there is one) be different from the published tripe in any significant manner, releasing that information would make various political figures and parties look liie fools, and that would never do at all.  Likewise, doing so would also be an errosion of power - go back to Reason 1.

Yes, I am a bit of a cynic.  No, I honestly do not have a particular conspiracy theory.  It's just that what we've been told does not make logical sense.  There is something (or many somethings) missing.

Re: JFK .... 50 years on.

Hi, first of all I would like to thank you for your contribution to this debate & replying to my last post.
As stated , these are only my personal views, first, I am not so naive as to believe forensic pathology cannot be corrupted as any other line of work , P M pics can be altered to fit findings, go missing etc,.etc..we will never know! To coin a phrase. " at the end of the day" its all supposition!! & as another poster said & I agree with. The only person who would or could answer these questions LHO is not here to to defend or deny them,& with the greatest respect until clear undeniable evidence is put forward the conspiracy theories will continue. The proof of that is the length of this thread that seems to keep going on & on.

Re: JFK .... 50 years on.

Well, to me anyway, there seems to be something wrong, some sort of gut feeling that makes me nervous.  When you have a suicide, for instance, there is usually a note explaining the person's feelings or their rationalle, or something.  It may not make logical sense, but at least you get an idea of what was going on in their head.  The same thing applies to the crazed shooters we get here in America once in a while, the kind that pick military grade firearms and attack schools or theaters,  You've heard about them.   They also leave notes behind, e-mails, or some kind of internet messages of one kind or another - a sort of celebrity suicide note, at least in their own demented eyes.

But what was the story behind Oswald?  Did he leave a note?  An Explanation?  The whole thing just did not feel right - too professional, too cold.  And Oswald's trip to the USSR???  And him knowing Ruby quite well???

Call it a gumshoe thing, but it just does not make sense.

Re: JFK .... 50 years on.

The Warren Commission found no credible evidence that Oswald had any association with Ruby?

There's a story from a dancer that Oswald and Ruby were in a club together but that's as far as it goes.

Re: JFK .... 50 years on.

I had a customer that committed suicide, neither his partner or his family had any idea why he did it, it just came out of the blue without apparent reason.

Is there any proper evidence Ruby knew Oswald, the problem is there are many people who have theories then select facts, bending them if necessary, to fit that theory, ignoring that which doesn't.

From all I've seen and heard, Ruby was a bit of a Walter Mitty character who liked to think he was more than he actually was, he was always at the KLIF radio station trying to 'get in on the act' seeming to be fascinated by the idea of being a reporter.

On the day he was being such a PITA wanting to do something they suggested he took some sandwiches to the reporters at the police station which was why he was there.

Caught up in the excitement surrounding him he shoots Oswald.

No conspiracy in fact most of those who knew have said he was far too much of a big mouth and would never have been trusted.
