Is this up there with Dick Van Dykes cockney accent as the worst one ever?.

The American TV show Castle had a "Geordie" character on it. Not sure which Newcastle this guy comes from but it isn't mine.

Hi Petal, when my daughter showed me that last night, I thought it was a spoof, but she said it was an actual episode of Castle.

They actually think they've got the accent spot on.Woman Frustrated

I could hear Irish in it.Woman LOL

The only trouble is, his voice sounds like nothing like you’d expect from a typical Geordie – and the result is a thing of wonder.

Instead, we’re faced with a hilariously inaccurate accent that sounds like a bizarre combination of various Celtic dialects.

But nothing, vitally, like the accent that you’d expect to hear from the likes of Ant and Dec.

‘Get away man, shoot your gob off’, Alistair Gascoyne garbles in a bizarre voice.

Understandably, it’s attracted quite a lot of stick from viewers.

One YouTube user wrote: ‘I’m a Geordie..this sounds like an Irishman trying to imitate a Geordie.’

Another added: ‘As someone from Newcastle this is literally the worst attempt I have ever heard. Sounds like an Irishman using Geordie dialect.’

We’re struggling to disagree.
