I knew they were all mad.

That's people who decide on prisoners parole etc.

I think this just about confirms it?:-

A bloke already given parole from a 27-year sentence goes on to commit further violent crimes for which he was given 13 life sentences 12 years ago was "temporarily allowed out of prison"...... so he beats it!

Re: I knew they were all mad.

That seems to be happening a lot , murderers being let out & then go on to murder, same applies to other crimes as well. Why if for example if they are given say twenty years why do they not serve that amount , it is a mockery twenty years should be just that IMO !

Re: I knew they were all mad.

If you were a copper involved in catching that bloke, wouldn't you despair at a system that lets criminals go on the loose without serving the sentence imposed?

A friend has always said that the people who allow such things should be in the next cell to them when they're re-caught and I agree with her.

It would seem to me that those in authority who chose to let him out should explain their actions.

Re: I knew they were all mad.

It raises the same old question about prison being an effective deterrent...  very apparently not in this case.

I would like to know what he said to the parole board that made them decide he was fit for release...

Re: I knew they were all mad.

I also think that if the police give out the warning not to approach this man, does that alone fill you with confidence that he was allowed out in the first place, I think not! & yes I agree it must be soul destroying to have done all the leg work to get this low life convicted only to see him & others like him & worse running free again. The law is an ass!. & no deterrent for these people.

Re: I knew they were all mad.

Many years ago in California, there was an infamous case in which a man molested a girl and chopped off both of her arms. Somehow, she survived.  After a period of time, the California parole board LET THE GUY OUT OF PRISON!!  Later, he reportedly went to Florida and murdered another woman.

You are not alone in madness!

Re: I knew they were all mad.

It has become evident that the Prison Service and the NHS are operating the same business model "Kick them out early, because we need the beds". Strikes me that's the business to be in....................BEDS !!

Re: I knew they were all mad.

Hopefully they will send him back to a closed prison, lock him up and throw away the key!

It seems obvious the man is never going to be "reformed"...
