I wouldn't want to be driving in Cairo if they have snow too, as it's the worst place to drive at the best of times...

Meanwhile, my brother-in-law, who lives near Fairbanks, Alaska, reported that it was RAINING in the local area during the first week of December, and that they had temperatures of 16 degrees (F) above zero! I never thought that was possible! It's always about 40 below zero around then.
