Governments £5bil 'Back to Work scheme' failing miserably

The Governments flagship 'Back to Work schemes' are failing, who says so

The people who run them and anyone who looks at the statistics

The Companies who run the schemes are telling the Government they need more Help/funds if they are to do what the Government wants. A lot of these firms believed the hype, that people were Lazy , now they find that about 50% are unemployable, and more need a lot of help (more than's been given) is needed

75% of people entering these publicly funded schemes, run by 'Private Providers' are not gaining any kind of employment.

For the Long-term unemployed figures are worse

and for the People who are eligible for disability/sickness 'help in employment' benefits , the failure rate rises to 94%

Latest 'Poverty' figures for Scotland show that 40% of those that meet the criteria to join that list,

are IN employment.

We can argue over the meaning of 'Poverty', but it is still a shocking statistic

I started work in a sceme which wAS  a good one.

A gang and  had t clear a limestone pavement. It was one of the best in the UK.

It was good clearin the dykes of over gron trees.

Then I went on another learning the art of drystone walling 🙂
