Google not an Ebay thing but need help from a bigger audience

I know its not Ebay but I need to ask a lot of people is anyone else having trouble getting onto Google, I click on icon and nothing happens having to go in through explorer, not ideal. Anyone else having problems?????

I was having problems with it yesterday, not just the search but gmail etc.

The DownDetector map shows a huge problem in North West Europe right now but not sure how much that will effect us.  It doesn't seem to be specifically citing the UK as having a problem

Had a few days of problems

only solved when I signed into Google+

through my settings

This was throught the Google page - I do not use browser search engines

I get the impression, given the new pop-ups on Google, that they're trying to get users to sign in or take other actions which then give them greater rights and opportunities to track user activity.
