Oh aye, log chopping.

I like log chopping, though prefer to do it all in the summer, which was non existent this year. Very satisfying. Can take out a lot of anger on a log😈 And won't get arrested.

Got a saw bench for a chainsaw for Christmas . I won't be using that. I hate chainsaws. I wanted a bench with a built in circular saw and a log holding V that lifts the log towards the saw: no fingers near....well I did want one 3 years ago. Not bothered now.

Circular saws are dangerous, my grandad had his fingers chopped off by one. It was a 4 foot saw........ wet wood.

Put the log in a v shaped trough, which has a handle away from the blade so you can lift the log in the trough against the spinning blade, while hands are at the other end of the trough. Everyone still on holiday

IMO since it's my hands at risk, it would be worth the cost. Three log burners here. Lots of logs required. At the price of coal versus free wood it would soon pay for itself but this is what I was given...cos it's cheaper

Mine went just before Christmas, my daughters bought my new one.

I had one a few weeks ago, I was struggling to get on the table with my bad knee and she grabbed it to lift it up.

Then did the same when I got down, grrr.

I had to resist the urge to punch her.
