it was warm, dry and mostly sunny here today, though a bit windier than I like this afternoon. Fingers crossed it's the same tomorrow

Been Warm And Muggy All Day Here Just Peeked At Tomorows😥

In case i'm not around tomorrow i would like to be remembered for making the belt with holes in that Royal Mail use on their contraptions to carry letters from 1 machine to another whilst they sort the mail.

I used to work as the only employee in Canton ,Cardiff ( A.S. Belting Products (hello Stan & Mary ) who made this type of belt for RM ,i made enought to last until 2050 although i have no idea if they are still in use.

Basically ,getting boring now ,the belts were 530mm long and 50mm wide ,flat belts 1.5 mm thick.

My job was to cut them to width from a sleeve and then punch holes in them across their width.

On the contraption they were fitted to ,air was sucked through the holes where the belts spun ,holding the letters on from one end to the other.

So ,if you have ever received a letter via RM since 1995 it went across a belt that i made.

I hope my prize involves chocolate 🤣
