Girl, 11, will be Britain's youngest mother

A girl is to become Britain's youngest mother after becoming pregnant at 11.

The girl smokes 20 cigarettes a day despite being eight months' pregnant. She conceived aged 11 when she lost her virginity to a boy of 15 on a drunken night out with friends.

The 15-year-old has since been charged with **bleep** by police, and is due to appear again at Edinburgh sheriff court on July 10.

Her 34-year-old mother, who gave birth to her youngest child eight months ago, said she was 'proud' of her daughter.

She will be 12 years and 8 months when she has the child next month. Jenny Teague, Britain's youngest mother until now, was a month older when she gave birth in 1997.

How can we best tackle this problem? Tell us in reader comments below

The youngster, who lives near Edinburgh, says looking after her younger brothers has prepared her for motherhood.

But the girl admits she "panics and cries" when babies are unwell and does not feel able to bathe them.

The mother-to-be, who cannot be named for legal reasons, had unprotected sex with the teenage boy, who also cannot be identified, while drunk last August.

'Excited'

She told the Sun: "I didn't think I'd get pregnant because it was my first time. But I'm really excited and looking forward to being a mum.

"I can't wait to take the baby swimming and out for walks in the pram. I think I'll be able to cope as I've had lots of practice looking after my brothers.

"I know how to feed a baby its bottle and I can change nappies. But I panic and cry if they're sick and I don't like giving them a bath because I'm a bit frightened.

"It's good to know I'll have my mum here to help me if I need her."

Re: Girl, 11, will be Britain's youngest mother .

Regarding the use of more than one ID for posting (accidental code 42's excepted), the relevant part of Alans post is "for the purpose of disruption or to avoid detection" and there can be no other reason for the list of IDs I posted?

Just to make it quite clear to people that took my joke (about a database) seriously, the list was actually posted on the boards by the person concerned which is where it was copied from.

There's never been a "personal dispute", just a polite disagreement about the membership of a cult and an issue with Board Policy.

Re: Girl, 11, will be Britain's youngest mother .

You can delete the post and post again with the correct ID.

Do you mean self-report the post CeeDee or can you instantly delete a whole post?

If you spot an error within around five minutes of posting, you can edit your post. After about 5 minutes, you've missed your chance to edit.

Re: Girl, 11, will be Britain's youngest mother .

I know you can edit a post, but I didn't realise you could delete it completely - that is certainly a handy feature.

How do we delete it?

Just highlight what you wrote and press "Delete"?

Mmm clearly it doesn't delete the whole post just the text but I suppose that is better than nothing if you do an inadvertant code 42  Woman Happy

Just delete your post?

Does that work after the circa 5 minutes grace for editing?

I shall try that here.

Re: Girl, 11, will be Britain's youngest mother .

It's funny you should say that, Lost Parrot because I can think of another RT poster who IMO has also been coming in for quite a lot of 'unpleasant attention' recently from certain IDs.... including yours.

The critical 'words' there are 'IMO', though I seem to recall similar accusations by others about yourself. If someone constructively disagrees with a position, that is part of debate, however much some would like to dress it otherwise when they arent getting their own way
I don't see much constructive about this which has the same poster involved, amongst other old timers getting their jollies

Not surprising there are so few posters here these days, what with board jollies and selection committees

I doubt anyone took the ref to 'database' beyond a personal list, however stalkerish. Unofficial board selection courts have generally been frowned on, especially when they seem to be ongoing over a considerable period of time with their own set of special rules

I don't see anyone supporting a position in the way described, though I can recall similar events with others which appeared far from innocent or accidental, but then im sure thats a question of invoking those 'special rules ' again

Perhaps they convene in off ebay boards/star chambers to decide on events

Re: Girl, 11, will be Britain's youngest mother .

Really? Where's that then? I must have missed those accusations amid all the Daily Mail lectures and 'educational' links LOL

But you are right of course, it is all about 'personal' perception and I'm sure other posters have their own opinions about me...negative and positive.

I don't post regularly enough on the RT to really know anything about any previous history between GN and other posters but I did feel that some posters were going a bit OTT about what appeared to me, to be an obvious code 42, which is why I said so.....twice.

Clearly, from comments you have made, you have been around the RT much longer than me but as I don't know any of your other ID/IDs, I can only base my personal perception of you on what I can see now which is a newly created zero feedback ID registered on 3/10/13 at 2.57pm.

Within 10 minutes of registering that ID, at 3.11pm you joined this thread:

http://community.ebay.co.uk/t5/The-Round-Table/This-is-frightening-no-matter-how-tough-you-are/td-p/...

...and became embroiled in an already heated debate with one of the posters on it, which is fair enough I guess...that is what this board is here for after all LOL

The problem is, even though that thread is now done and dusted, you still seem to be harbouring some kind of grudge against one particular poster IMO and seem to be following them around, commenting on all their posts and being generally unpleasant towards them.

As I said that is only MY personal perception and I apologise in advance if I have got the wrong end of the stick  Woman Happy

With regard to your other comments about 'special rules' etc. I haven't really got a clue what your talking about I'm afraid....soz!

Re: Girl, 11, will be Britain's youngest mother .

The accusations leveled at your posts were elsewhere, not here. But if you are saying you have no knowledge of such, then someone must have memory problems

We don’t disagree re GN, least on what you have said so far. Unofficial courts last time I heard from the then CM, may warrant an indefinite sanction, so it may well be some might want to seek clarification on that matter before they continue.

I joined the debate because it had an interest, do you join for any different reasons? Are you trying to suggest something else?. You might want to start keeping lists next, rather like some old timers.

Perhaps log the time of this post, word count  etc lol

True you haven’t been posting very long yourself here, but you seem to have a personal interest in certain posters, despite having little experience. Some might conclude you have the same interest  in creeky as you wrongly project onto others. If I disagree with a position, then I give the reasons, and unlike some, it doesn’t depend on who is saying it - a novel idea I know, but hey ho. The latter grudge part is entirely your fiction, and from someone who admits they have no real knowledge

Still the history of some boards is such that those who wish to put their ID forward, whilst others remain in the background, are very welcome. No secret courts there

I notice you don’t really comment on the ‘jollies’ thread, which might indeed be considered to fall within your otherwise unfounded, and unsubstantiated accusations of bullying. But then of course it depends who is saying it. Incidentally last ruling I heard on the subject of posting otherwise offensive matter whilst trying to hide it in a different language, other than that of the host, was that it was against board policy, on both counts.

Is it really necessary to go back time and again to ridicule unprovoked.

Apology accepted at 15.05 pm 3/12/2013.
