God, the money I spent on Western Vinyls in Budapest, or in the Intershop in the GDR, shops that sold Western Goods, so your relatives would go in there + spend hard currency. If they gave us money, we had to exchange it for vouchers to shop there, so the state could get their paws on the valuta. I'll never forget how that lovely soap/perfumery smell would envelope you, as soon you stepped through the door.

Oh, wow, now it's "Falco" - even in German!! "Amadeus" was his big internatinal hit, but in the German-language areas he became a few years before famous with "The Kommissar". Die tragic + to young. Film about his life is very good. The guy who plays him looks eerily like him, even the voice...
