It eventually landed on a sleeping elderly gentleman who got off at the stop before mine (once he'd woken up, obviously!) . . .
I'm just so impressed that a spider can travel from Glasow to Livingston on a train - and who knows what he'll get up to there!

They're quite small (even the big ones) and their pockets aren't big enough ta put a railway ticket inta! I assume that the little fella hid in the toilet when the ticket man came through . . .
