. . . don’t break any of the rules. Happy posting!*Bunny, the Tintoretto Variations are in the building to the left of this church , Madonna dell'Orto. as part of the 2013 Biennale. The church was Tintoretto's local - he lived nearby and several of his works adorn the inside of this church.
We went there because it is one of the places characters go to in the novel "Miss Garnet's Angel".
I see what you mean now Dixie about the lines. Yes it was the same on my screen although I didn't notice it

Oh, hi, Bunny, you are back, posts tumbled just in. Ah, that what the gif is from - I just found it in a gif forum. Well done on the pub quiz - I go these days with the guys from work. we get one for free - friend of one of the cast uses the pub quiz (for which he gets paid) a week later on us

BTW, I spoke to the guy from the basement flat across - Eddie - know most of his life story now...but, well, sadly, in the 1st floor flat lived a 23 yrs old Philipino, his partner with kid and her mother sometimes visited. He hanged himself + to make sure cut his wrists as well. apparently not his first try. The others in the house hadn't seen him for days - then noticed a smell - not very pleasant...

Seems strange people disappear into the toilets during the quiz taking phone with them. What's the point in cheating just for 8 pints of beer...sad sacks!!

Legend has it Tintoretto's daughter was duped by a witch to save the consecrated hosts she would get for ten days after the first sacrament (at Madonna dell'Orto) She eventually told her father as animals started to kneel where the hosts were hidden.
He lured the witch to the house, started beating her with a stick, she changed into a black cat (what else!) and disappeared at last in a cloud of smoke through the wall. The Hercules statue plugs the hole and is supposed to protect the inhabitants of the house.
Yes, feel sorry too for those left behind, I presume his parents must be still alive and if I lived in that house I would be majorly creeped out. Eddie said no one has been around so far, not even his best mate from work.
Such a shame, a partner & young child too. It takes some guts to commit suicide, but surely can't be in the right frame of mind to do so.

Good evening good giffers. Anybody been to hot today? Weve had a nice cool breeze after the early morning rain. It stopped rainig then when that stopped it came out dry and sunny and moderately warm. Not been nasty cold or hot:) I've found it quite refreshing 🙂
