Totally new to this thread ... needing some help for the simplest of things, please?  :-x

When I see a smilie / emoticon / anything animated ... please, oh please, may I have an "Dummies Guide to saving ^^^^^" ~ as I am hopelessly inadequate (read: complete failure), in managing to do these properly.

I can 'save picture as' without any problem ~ however, when I want to use these as the original animations that they are ~ I get nothing apart from a pic.

And yes, you'll have gathered I'm a technophobe, and just about manage to get by on the computer, but in this particular area of saving animated smilies / emoticons/ other animations, I'm a complete flaming idiot..!  :8} 

All help highly appreciated... :-x
