A man went into a ticket office and asked: “Two tickets please - one for me and one for my horse.” The ticket officer told him that horses were not allowed on trains but he retorted, “I know the law” and led the animal to the station lift and across Platform Two at Wrexham station in North Wales to the 19.02 to Holyhead. It was only when a conductor stepped in that the cowboy-hatted individual finally left the station - looking almost as long in the face as his little Welsh mountain pony.
That man was a nuter if he thought he could have that pony on the train.
