Dixie, I can't get anywhere near your island but I'd like to know how you did it please because I want to improve and learn. Is there a site where I might learn how you did it?. Bye the way I think it's brilliant what you did and it leaves me grasping for superlatives.
Honestly, Dunno, you are not exactly lacking skills/ideas from what I can see.
I did 4 frames with the different mouth positions(skull)in Photoshop.Also smoothed out the sky. Other peeps on here use Paintshop. Petal has the link for download,I am sure.
Then the Animation I did in Animationshop - added the lights in there as well

Just seen you must have Animation shop., Dunno...save my GifIsland as Gif (as it is) and open it in Animationshop and look at the different frames , that gives you an idea of what I did...you can view them1:2 to see more at a time, but details might get lost...You could try that also with the traffic cone above...
