Farage quits.............. again.

Nigel Farage has quit as leader of UKIP. He says he's "done his bit" now and he won't change his mind this time.

Will UKIP survive after he goes?

Re: Farage quits.............. again.

Farage did try to represent himself as the 'hero' of the little common man.

That is not being derogatory about the common man - what is wrong is any idea that Farage could truly represent them.

Re: Farage quits.............. again.

He's got another job:

Nigel Farage to stand in for Katie Hopkins and host LBC radio show

Hope it goes a bit better than this time:

No wonder he wants to retire....he is probably sick to the back teeth of having to deal with ****holes like that interviewer. And still he retains a sense of humour....how he does it I don't know.

Personally I find those endearing qualities. Maybe if some of the other Westminster Grandees mixed with (us) the Hoi Polloi in the local pubs and working men's clubs like Nigel Farage does, they might get an idea of exactly how the average person lives...and in some cases, survives. Instead of which they are aloof, and completely oblivious to what is going on in the real world, outside their own little bubbles and ivory towers.

And just because Farage is an ex MB, that doesn't mean to exclude him from having an affinity, and to empathise with the man on the Clapham omnibus. A rare species no doubt, but never-the-less not extinct.

One or two people think he is still a Merchant Banker...

Love him or loathe him he should get a knighthood for services to democracy.

Without him the three main parties would still be denying us a vote on the EU.

Re: Farage quits.............. again.

Well there you go, some for, and some against. To your statement, I think if that was put to Farage himself, he would say, "Look at the face - am I bovvered" ? After donkey years of fighting his corner, he's quite used to the slings and arrows from the Directorships of the EU, some elements of the public, and ditto of the media.

But hey, they just bounce right off him.
