Re: EU vote

Well, just one thing to add here, the vote was to get us out of a badly run system, and its been done. I just wanted to say that our friends in France, Belgium, and all of Europe are still very much welcome to the UK, that has not changed.

The PM has just resigned too, that is also good news, other EU countries may also leave !

So the way forward will be challenging, but Im sure we will be much better off

Re: EU vote

Being an Englishman living in South Wales, I think every Welsh person who voted Out yesterday should hang their heads in SHAME. I came to South Wales at the time of the Pit closures and believe me if it wasn't  for Europe South Wales would be a bankrupt wasteland now. The behaviour of the Welsh is akin to taking a birthday present from a favourite Aunt and then smacking her one in the Mouth.

I am at a loss to understand how the Scots got it SO right, as a nation while the rest of the country signed up for  a 'little englander' ticket - "Great" Britain ? you're having a laugh - see you all on the dole queue

I know my favourite Osprey site in Wales did well from EU grants when they were starting up. I fear for how charities like this will fare now.

The money you got from the EU was your own money getting paid back to the UK.

Re: EU vote

what are you on about, UK pay 300 million a week to EU, your not getting anything from them, its the money we paid in !

And here is one person who was born in Wales, and left for England as there was no work in Wales over 50 years ago.ha ha, and it was maggy that caused the pit closures in the first place !

the country has spoken, like it or not the way things work is.... the majority vote counts, and respectfully you should follow the majority decision !

Re: EU vote

Are you having a laugh Jimbooks? I live in South Wales, and the town I live in is as dead as a doornail. Sure we have had 'grants'...but they tell us how to spend them. The last one we had , was spent on'street furniture'. And that is our money. The EU has given businesses start up grants, the businesses move in to smart new premises, and then a year later they are gone. The EU, combined with Labour in power, is a poisonous combination. All the money goes to Cardiff, and surprise, surprise...Cardiff voted to stay in. The rest of us held our heads up and decided we didn't want to be kneeling at the feet of the EU any more with our begging bowl, looking for scraps. Wales is better than that, and will be better again when we boot out all those EU loving Labour politicians.

Re: EU vote

That's really interesting, and begs the question now that IF Parliament decided not to allow us to exit, where does that leave all those leaders who have rushed to push through a total eviction?
