Dispicable comments by Osborne and press - over childkiller Philpott

On the Day the sentences were handed down and most Peoples thoughts were with those Kids.

He finally even surprised me, by stooping even lower than I thought possible, yesterday by making Political point scoring remarks , to justify the swingeing Benefit cuts. By using Mick Philpotts behaviour as some kind of justification for the Cuts.

Lower than a snakes ankles, with NO shame

This is what HE thinks of rules and also what he thinks of the Disabled

No. And that's a very desperate comparison.  I'm not the Chancellor of the Exchequer or the editor of a daily national who decided to put this on their front page..

Oh I see - so it's not the comment that is despicable but the person who says it and where it is said.

You dodged my question:

Do you honestly think using a front page photo of 6 dead children next to the headline "vile product of Welfare UK" is "just as despicable" as a responding comment on the subject in the forum of a shopping site?

In reiterating that, the conclusion has to be that you think the person and the place make the comment despicable not the actual words

Right I get it. 🙂

There is a world of difference between a high profile public figure of the position the Chancellor holds, and the press coverage it will receive, than a few comments on a chatboard, or is daddy suggesting they are the same??

People the likes of Philpott see children as 'stock items'...

I've already said I get it.

If Book makes the comment it's not despicable - anyone else saying it, then it is.

Re: Dispicable comments by Osborne and press - over childkiller Philpott

You have an fundamental dislike for certain aspects of the Welfare system, that you can barely disguise, at best
You claim to be concerned about poverty in less developed countries, in fact you sermonize on it.
Wouldn't you be better spending your time addressing that if as you claim you care so much about it, by say fundraising or other more productive activities, or is it just rhetoric to buy yourself an image, than spending all your days and even nights trying to seek so pedantic nonsense in order to prove something to yourself?
You claim to be building a pub in some shed outside. Bit extravagant for most I think
How many lives would a % of that money save do you think
1,000,.... 10, 0000, ?

Stop squirming and answer the question:

How many times must I say it - a comment said by someone other than you and/or put on the front page of a daily paper can be despicable - ones you make can't - I understand

Re: Dispicable comments by Osborne and press - over childkiller Philpott

Expensiture on some outhouse pub is just pure indulgence
It wont provide  a personality, nothing will
If anyone would, without hesitation, be happy to indulge themselves whilst sermonzing on third world poverty, I would say they were more interested in cultivating an image than to help change

Nobody really needs their own little pub in a shed, nor do I think it's responsible to use it for little rainbows either, unfortunately vetting for working with children isnt as comprehensive as it perhaps ought to be

So how many lives do you think money spent on a totally indulgent outside shed-pub, would  save?

Most of the posts I see are really second, if not still first childhood stuff, to try to 'prove' something.
Most pay scant regard to the truth in fact almost like some fundamentalist personal religion of 1, everything including the truth, is subordinated to this little 'proving' exercise, and might go on all day and night.

The other few are just rants dressed up in suitable clothing...eg public services thread, unusual I thought because I wasn't aware of any interest. On reading it quickly became apparent it wasn't about public services in general, merely about teachers pay and conditions...a 'domestic issue' for some, but thinly dressed up to look like something else

How many times must I say it

As many as you like. Your refusal to answer the question proves you have no answer.

Quite frankly, if you think my posting at #16 of a sensible article regarding Philpott along with my own response to what constitutes a "vile product" is "despicable". than then I suggest you have a lie down.  If anyone's comments on this thread are "despicable" then i'd say look in the direction of the last sentence of Dr Mengele's Assistant's post at #9,

In case you are wondering why I am emphasising the word "response", ask yourself the who threw the first stone in politicizing and demanding "debate" regarding the Philpott case? If it hadn't been for Dacre, Murdoch & Osbourne's blowing of dog-whistles, this thread wouldn't even be here.

If a statement such as the one being discussed on this thread is made by anyone else but you and elsewhere other than this thread then it can be described as despicable.

Ping, pong, ping, pong....For arguments sake - Yes, you're right. I am totally despicable, A fair proportion of my several million readers will lap up every word I say and Ed Balls will drop into RT to add further comment to my post at #16 & subsequently organise a press conference in time for the 6 O'Clock News to further my "despicable" agenda. However, unless someone can lend me a DeLorean that goes 88mph in order for me to travel back through time to within a few hours of the judge delivering her verdict, I'm not sure I can re-create an exact replication of my 'campaign'.. Nonetheless if anyone does happen to have a spare DeLorean, please leave it in the disabled parking bay outside the Maccy D's at Ingatestone.

I only hope I can redeem my "despicable" post by getting ratted in my shed whilst simultaneously making YouTube videos of myself burning £50 notes so I can post the links to victims of the Bedroom Tax. If anyone disagrees with that, i'll just get my mate to screech "BULLY!!!" at them.

Re: Dispicable comments by Osborne and press - over childkiller Philpott

I did NOT nor would I ever say you are despicable 😮

The point you seem to be missing is that a COMMENT can be described as despicable based on its content and is not dependent on who says it  nor where it is said.

That same comment can of course have a far greater impact if it is splashed all over the front page of newspaper or uttered by a Minister of State rather than by an anonymous individual during a discussion on the topic.

Re: Dispicable comments by Osborne and press - over childkiller Philpott

What happened to those children was despicable....to put anyone's life at risk is appalling but your own kids ....that's real evil!

however, blaming the welfare state is totally out of order. I agree that desperate people go to desperate lengths ....and it is not possible to live on benefit (JSA) for any length of time....not without getting into horrendous debt! This wasn't the case here...this was greed. To link this man and his wife with everyone who is out of work is just not an awful sleight upon the millions who genuinely can't get work but it shows the depth that this government will go to just to get themselves re-elected!

its simply not true that the unemployed are scrounges....MOST WANT TO WORK but there are simply no jobs. Where I live the local jobs section which used to boast 8 pages of jobs had 2 last week. Most jobs were for careers, a few cleaners and everything else was commission only....no proper wage. To risk your benefits for those type of jobs is sheer madness. My husband does similar work and we depend on WTC to survive...and what I earn on eBay! If we nothing gave up trying to earn money and went onto JSA again we would be £120 a month better off ...at least! What stops us is the the attitudes of others...and that includes the staff at job centres who treat you like dirt! It made me I'll. I'd rather struggle than face that lot every fortnight!

As for the comment about Thatchers Britain...too right! We have a country where the so called empowerment of women means that kids are growing up without a mum at  home..what was marketed as opportunity has become necessity as mums have to work...not part time to fit around the schools, but full time. The glut of extra people in the jobs market, further fuelled by immigrants, has meant wages are pushed down and down.....so now most families need 2 full time wages.  Kids run riot, don't get proper supervision or properly fed.

People are quick to condemn the unemployed but what about those who PROFIT out of unemployment...are they not worthy of your scorn too? What about the shareholders in companies that are under performing who demand dividends even though it means sacking some of the workers or lowering their pay? The directors who raise their salaries and lower their workforce's....or lay them off to produce goods in China? Shareholders don't work for their money ......are they any better than the person who has been sacked to provide their income? Fact is we have a greed culture where people want more sand more ...and who gives a damn how they get it...or who they tread on along the way! The 'I'm alright Jack' brigade! We have bankers, directors and the like who pay themes selves more in a year than most earn in a lifetime! They have more money than they can ever spend ...and they want more and more....with people starving in the world, they only look at how they can exploit them....

Fact is ...it's all about power....money gives you clout....you can dictate if your bank balance is big enough! Cameron ....and many MPs ....wouldn't be where they are today if they didn't have the wealth in their back pockets....and they seek to serve those who put it there! When they talk about the people of this country....they don't mean us....we really don't matter...except when it comes to elections....then they love us for about 12 weeks! There is work for everyone in the country....but its not in their interest to make it available. We have a couple of aircraft carriers being made piecemeal to keep the dwindling shipyards open....we have 4 oilers being built for the RFA in S Korea... We have trains that could be built here being built abroad....contract after contract going overseas for the government....why are we not giving British workers jobs....opening up steel industry again? Why is the nation that made the Industrial Revolution happen reduced to banking, retail and leisure? Where is the pride?

want to know?

We sold it for a handful of share certificates and a fast buck....handed out by Thatcher (whose 'dopey' husband Dennis was one of the richest and most powerful men in the country....who never prospered from wee wifey's position....yeah right!) and Blair (who found god ...and few million pounds worth of property after he 'retired' from office!!!)

yes...it is all the fault of the unemployed benefit 'scroungers'.... they are responsible for state of the nation

.....never was it more true.....DIVIDE  & CONQUER!

yes there are levels..ie the amount of people affected by said act.

Books in that post and i agree said ''seems to me'' and it does also seem to me that a person who went through their life with 'what's in it for me' is more like the kind of person phillpot was.

If that disgraceful headline had read ''seems to me'' then you may have had a point ,but it doesnt.
