I received a dispatched notification for delivery today 12th April, this from the seller4days ago.
Today the carrier informs me that the parcel is not yet in their possession!
Firstly, it depends where the item is coming from UK or otherwise, and secondly with the fuel shortages at the moment, the item may have a delay in being collected from the seller.
However, as I am sure that you are fully aware, if the item does not arrive within a reasonable time frame and don't forget about the up and coming Easter Bank holiday Friday and preceeding Monday, then make sure that you open an 'Item Not Received' case within 30 days of the item having been marked as dispatched!
This sees to be an ever increacing method used to enhance or comply with quoted despatch times.
Once an item has been given a tracking number, then ebay automatically mark an item as dispatched.
Should it now become a condition of selling, that despatch of an item can only be notified when the courier has actual possession?
No, because of the above and because the eBay tracking system is always behind with updating the true status of tracking, at the best of times.
Truth hurts. Maybe not as much as jumping on a bicycle with a seat missing, but it hurts.
You may think you have pushed ALL my buttons, but you still haven't found the mute!
