Complainers or moaners?

I see people are complaining about the new John Lewis advert saying that their kids are asking why Father Christmas didn't bring the new trampoline and complaining that it's "ruined Christmas".

Are they mad, thick or just plain stupid?

All they had to do was to tell the kids that yes, Father Christmas brought the new trampoline but it was packed up to save space on Santa's sleigh so Dad had to assemble it. Simple innit?

I saw these moaners and that is a very similar response to the one I posted on another forum. I said Santa has 2 billion houses to visit in 24 hours, he's a busy man. So he delivered the trampoline, but daddy had to build it.

I'm sure some people moan just to get their 15 minutes of fame, I mean infamy Man Surprised

Gawd we are a contrary lot. I think it's s brilliant ad which is funny and features a dog which is a dead ringer for my first pet. He famously attacked an German shepherd dog who was about to maul a child in a pram, who's mother was screaming in terror, Having seen off the GS he returned to the pram to check the baby was ok before licking it and returning to me. Anyway I am biased but folk who can't see the funny side are just plain stupid imho.

I remember when the advertising business used to harbour some real creative talent. Now, some muppet gives a bull dog Ben Affleck's voice, via a computer and he gets paid genius money..........the worlds full of people doing their jobs in a mediocre fashion and getting paid like they're actually good at it......it makes being misanthropic easier than learning your one times table.

Why the cost

You should see the amount of work and time it took to animate the CGI animals, the Boxer is the only real life one, and then only when outside the cage, the rest are drawn and animated on computer

I watched the 'How it was done video' on my sky box, but can't find it now

I love it. Cat LOL

It is a lot of money, but it isn't so straight forward to make such an advert.

My daughter showed me this video the other week about how much is involved to make an animation, as this is a field she would like to go into. Maybe something similar as what Al wanted to show.

So many wonderful adverts I have seen over the years.  Very impressive to watch.

It would be great if maybe some time in the future there could be an awards ceremony for the best voted adverts, like already are set for music and films.

They did "Britains Favourite Adverts" last year.

The "For Mash Get Smash" advert won

Going back to CDs link which I have read, Those type of journalists really P me off. To dedicate so much type just to tell us that the aim is to get us into their store is earth shatteringly dull, They want us to spend our money don't be conned! Who is? So much negativity all surrounding a clever advert, why is it that journalists so often treat their audience with contempt? Surely there is more to life even for them.

Yes, I think we all know what adverts are for! What a stupid article. I don't know why some people can't just accept that stores advertise and just enjoy it like my family did.

If for some reason we loathe an advert, we don't buy the product, it really is that simple.

This years was a lot harder, because they were recreating 'REAL' animals, they even had physicits and mathematicians working out, the real science and interactions cause by them all bouncing on the trampoline
