No, the ones with the sausage rolls are those most likely to share the sausage rolls. That is what it is all about.
06-12-2013 11:50 PM
But unfortunately, in practice, the few who have all the sausage rolls keep all the sausage rolls to themselves.

Only because in theory human greed takes over..

The truth of the matter is that those posting, who have the 'virtual' sausage rolls, are those who are willing to share information, experience and time, those who mock, are not.

Eh?
Are you being serious? If not then fair play, this is a great wind-up.
Whether I have read it or not is irrelevant, I mentioned it in response to someone posting a link to a GROUCHO Marx clip. It was in no way a critique of a political theory. It was a joke based on the fact that the author has the same name as famous comedian.
You assume a hell of a lot after mis-interpreting a joke.
And your post is self-contradictory - you don't think I have read it, then you think I have read it then failed to understand it?
[PS If you really must get into a what-have-you-read what-have-I-read match, then bring it on. I'll see your Marx and Engel's Communuist Manifesto and raise you Solzhenistyn's Gulag Archipelago.]

Alas, I feel that those who have the sausage rolls may be more inclined to mock those who do not.
However, a virtual sausage roll does not assuage a craving

Alex, I'm sorry, this is not a personal attack. x

I didn't click on your link, I thought you were seriously dissing a document written over one hundred years ago by someone who really wanted to make a difference. I assumed that your comments were arrogant and ignorant. My sincere apologies that I bit and missed the humour in your words, had I clicked on the link, I might have seen things differently.
With best regards

BUT, as Karl's missus said to him just after the publication of "Das Kapital" - "Stop talking about it and go out and MAKE some".
A hard woman, but pragmatic.
and a terrible cook, apparently.
NO sausage rolls at THEIR house come Christmastide. Just cold Polemic sarnies - very indigestible.

So - so - so ......................am I now a miserly, virtual sausage roll-stuffing capitalist, who shares nothing, but mocks those who cannot make their own sausage rolls???
I was going to make some more, (and my real-life ones have been enjoyed by many over the years) but it seems they have become a metaphor here for the sharing or withholding of help, depending on which side of the politico-posterising fence each poster sits.
And the OP never did come back either - obviously - guess the joking to keep the thread bumped up didn't help and then .............. well it all rather went pear shaped.
07-12-2013 11:49 AM
I just noticed the thread gort moved as well - so maybe the OP will never find her way back here to enlighten us.

Where ever this thread was moved from or to is neither here nor there, I find the whole thread itself a hoot.

Hi Aern, quite the opposite, you are one who always shares good help and advice on these boards, and are never mocking, my ramblings were not aimed at you, I think an emotional me and me empty wine glass got the wrong end of the stick and I went off on one, I do that sometimes, I can only apologise after the event.
All the best
