Only if the authorities were 110% certain that he was no longer a danger to the public.......

40 years is a very long time to spend in prison ....he MAY have changed ...he MAY not....it is risky.......I would prefer to leave the decision to the experts.....

Oh "The Experts"? Is that the same "experts" who've freed all sorts of criminals in the past to either abscond from an open prison and commit serious crimes or the same "experts" who free blokes on licence who also commit serious crimes?
