Just to clear up what this thread was about, I decided to give myself a new name. The new name was chosen and I went through the process of actually changing my user name. When I had completed what needed doing, I got a message from eBay saying that my user ID had been changed to the new one. So then I wrote the OP expecting the name to have changed from stevie_blunder** to blackburn_stevie, but it hadn't. So then I wrote the second post.

It wasn't until the afternoon that I saw that the name shown over on the left had changed.
