Never in a way you brexiters thought it would. All the chamelons have been exposed, tight majority vote.Country and goverment in chaos.
It's the money men that will decide as always! What made you think they'd let the people decide-never have done in centuries!

Good grief the House of Commons voted 52-48 in favour of Brexit and then immediately voted to delay it. This is the kind of torture barely seen since 1500's.
Dad please tell the Westmonster to go away!

It looks to me as though they're painting themselves into an ever smaller corner.
They've gone back on their manifesto promises to abide by the referendum result. Rejected two deals. Blocked an early General Election and the totally biased speaker has denied the PMs attempt at giving the house a "meaningful" vote.
Somewhere, back near the start of this thread, I wrote something to the effect that at least in part voters voted "Leave" because they were fed up with being taken for granted and ignored by the establishment in Westminster. All the shenanigans have further re-enforced their disillusion and shown how right they were. Many more who, to start with, didn't share their point of view can now see clearly how unrepresentative the HoC is.
Like them or not, Boris and the Tory government have been transformed into the only party attempting to carry out the democratic wishes of the people. That's why they have double-digit leads in recent opinion polls, "the people" have been slapped in the face by everyone else who have portrayed themselves as anti-democratic.
If Boris has any sense (and he has more than most) he will just keep going with the flow, giving the Remainers more and more rope with which to hang themselves. Sooner or later he will manoeuvre them into having a General Election, where he can pose as the hero of Democracy. When the house has a clear "Leave" majority he will then be able to start the Leaving process again, but next time with determination and will to succeed which will, I'm sure, change the outcome significantly.

Brexit fan gets October 31 exit date tattooed on his stomach.
Mr Barrett, from Old Steine, Brighton, told local paper the Argus: ‘I am that certain we are going to leave the EU on the 31st of October that I’ve gone and got this tattoo.
‘It’s B-Day isn’t it? Brexit day. It stands for Brexit, it stands for Britain, it stands for Boris, it stands for back off Brussels.
‘I’m paraphrasing here but God said something like ‘Noah, if you build that ark, animals will get on it’ and he said to me ‘Graham, if you get that tattoo, we will definitely crash out without a deal’. ‘Something which I am looking forward to. ‘Come the 31st of October, someone is going to be looking silly.’

The year is 2200 .The English PM is visiting Brussels to ask for an extension of the Brexit deadline. No one really knows where this tradition stems from as history books have been banned since 2050,but every year it attracts many tourists in Europe just wondering what the hell it's all about

Worried about CAP and CFP suzieside. Well as I've said many times in past the CFP is and always was a red herring!
Here's the very eloquent Dr P Whitford explaining it all again to the tories, especially those dimwits across the chamber from her, Scot tories who peddle the constant tripe about CFP.
The 5 families ring a bell in NE Scotland? They'll be an equivalent of them in England too

Hands up who thought they could trust Johnson and the Tories with worker’s rights and environmental protection?

More tripe from the right Wing. Don't like being held to account and following parliamentary democracy which IS what Westminster IS
Parliament in Westminster Is sovereign - what part of that don't you understand then!
Hate to tell you ,only in Scotland are the people sovereign
Best speaker you lot ever had, even for a tory! Lol.

Horrible man and self serving politician!
Says a lot about those who admire him - no doubt still apologists for Alex Salmond.
30-10-2019 3:38 PM
Man knows his job inside out and you's don't like it. So much for your glorious revolution
Apologists, what you on about now?.So you're a judge, juror and executioner now aye
30-10-2019 4:57 PM
I don't need to be any of those - we know about JB's dodgy behaviour regarding expenses and avoidance of CGT by house swapping funded by expenses. He's admitted it!
'Glorious Revolution'? What's that? The only group looking for anything like a revolution are a proportion of the less than 10% of the UK population living in the far north.
. . . and yes, apologists - I'm as entitled to see support for AS as support for his political and personal behaviour just as much as you are to cast slurs on those who may support the behaviour of any other British politician.
31-10-2019 8:36 AM
I think you'll find there's a barrow load of expenses cheats from that scandal, not just him.
Good God ! What's the 'glorious revolution' dearie me.That's what makes Westmonster the parliamentary sovereign democracy that is being followed now-
UK is not a country, how many more times do people need to be told?.It's a bipartite political union.Scotland is a country with a lot more than 10% wanting free from the shackles of Westminster and a joint signatory to it.Self determination is normal and you ain't gonnae stop it.
AS has no convictions for any crime- fact

Oh forgot to say happy non Brexit day! again
'Die in a ditch was it'? He hasn't been found in any ditch so far as we know
Another lie Plenty more where that came from over next few weeks.

It’s a simple case of maths Celtic, it may not be your strongpoint, however to clarify, Johnson’s comment about the ditch cannot be taken as a lie unless of course you are a fool, it was a statement about where he wished to be in terms of Brexit not a statement of fact, it’s a bit like you saying you would rather be English than Scottish, who would believe you eh? If everything you said was dissected and put on the back of a fag packet it would read, “I am a true patriot and only want what’s best for me, however I acknowledge that I am usually wrong” So what’s the likelihood of That happening?
Is it ? Well blow me down.
So Alex S makes a comment once upon a time - 'this is a once in a generation chance for our country.” it's taken as fact. Never been in any treaty,Edinburgh agreement documents anywhere ever, but that's taken as sacrosanct by unionists So are we never again to grace ourselves on our land and fight for self determination?
Just so you know dumb that all sounds
2016-The brexit pamphlet put through my door for in/out of EU, Cameron said "this referendum is a once in a generation decision for our country.”
2019-Just in past hour Corbyn has just said that ” this election is a once in a generation chance to transform our country.”
Now, do you notice something???
31-10-2019 12:28 PM
And just to clarify. What he actually said https://twitter.com/angusmacneilsnp/status/1073359279883735040?lang=en
He also said if we get another mandate - we've had THREE since ,just so you know.

Not sure what this claimed "mandate" for another independence referendum is. Just 45% of electorate voted for SNP candidates whilst 55% voted for unionist candidates.
Roughly the same percentages as the last referendum and in line with the latest polls on the subject.

It's a shame that like the Northern Ireland partisan parties the SNP continue to feed the divisiveness of British politics by only fielding candidates in Scotland.
