Hello to all our old friends and newcomers alike. Welcome to Bill & Charlie's Bar - the place to meet other posters and to sit and chat while you sample your favourite tipple. Plenty to drink, lots of joking but alas no smoking.
We are open all hours (hic) and run a respectable Bar. (Although I argued with Charlie until I was blue in the face over that one!) No swearing, spitting or drun..drunk...drunken beeeehaviour (hic). We have a couple of bouncers to hand ~ she comes in on Friday nights.
Teetotallers are welcome and will be treated as normal. I jest ~ soft drinks are available at the bar along with light snacks. And finally, please use the emergency exit when Bill rambles on about the good ol' days and put plugs in your ears when Charlie 'sings'.
Come on in...:-D

The frontage? Have you seen the 'backage' and the 'sideages'? There aren't any. We're using the original photograph for effect until refurbishments are completed. And while I'm on the subject ~ how much will you be donating towards the repairs? Hello? Hello? He's gone! Typical!

(Slight amendment to quotation for which I apologise). EMB.
Yes, he used to traipse up and down the Lanes in Brighton selling it for a tenner a bunch, and telling everyone it was lucky. Well lucky for him when daft American tourists bought it.

*kicks recalcitrant 't' underneath a table*
This place is eerily silent. Is everyone in bed with their cocoa and a Barbara Cartland novel ? I don't mean in here, but the Roundy Table in general. Last post from Ms Seaside at 10.30 pm.
Plenty of sound in here though. Water dripping through the holes in the roof, deathwatch beetle in the wainscot, and armies of rats scurrying around.

Quite a lonely place at night, Embsie. Haunted too (passed pianists). <<< Had to be careful typing that! I popped in just before you to count the money in the till and spotted Suzie. Combed my hair and stood outside donning my 'money smile' hoping she'd pop in. Zilch!
