Hello to all our old friends and newcomers alike. Welcome to Bill & Charlie's Bar - the place to meet other posters and to sit and chat while you sample your favourite tipple. Plenty to drink, lots of joking but alas no smoking.

We are open all hours (hic) and run a respectable Bar. (Although I argued with Charlie until I was blue in the face over that one!) No swearing, spitting or drun..drunk...drunken beeeehaviour (hic). We have a couple of bouncers to hand ~ she comes in on Friday nights.

Teetotallers are welcome and will be treated as normal. I jest ~ soft drinks are available at the bar along with light snacks. And finally, please use the emergency exit when Bill rambles on about the good ol' days and put plugs in your ears when Charlie 'sings'.

You don't smoke? I had to nip out the back, catch the number No.9 bus, get the tube to Bakerloo Street, pop in the corner shop, totally cream-crackered, to get those five @@@@@ Weights! X-(

Yep. I started on Friday at 5...but my friend came round, so didn't get much done. So carried on yesterday afternoon...had to go shopping in between...forgot my purse...went home....went back to the shop...came back home again...ate something....and then ironed till 12 midnight. :_|

And today I'm doing washing, so there will be more ironing....but I'm determined now to get that done as well..

I SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO hate ironing. 😐

Well your heart was in the right place as you did make a start on it. I remember in the early days of my marriage when I offered to do the ironing. A BIG mistake!  :^O

There was just a little pile of it, but when I offered my help she brought out the rest! It was like a delivery from a laundry! :_|  I water the garden instead now :^O

Talking about watering the garden....I have to do that and mow the grass as well today, before it's knee high again.

A bloke was supposed to pick something up today at 9, which we sold on ebay. We weren't too happy about that on a Sunday morning, but as the guy said he works nights and wanted to pick it up straight from work, we said ok.

He still hasn't been. X-(

Maybe he changed his mind about trying to get a 6 meter long drainpipe into his car....?:|

I don't mind ironing.  It's vaccuming I hate.  And dusting.  And all cleaning really. 😐

Gotta be suitably nourished to watch the tennis. 😛

Lovely sandwiches, Bill ... and what a great game.

Djokovic looked so calm for the first 2 sets.  Nadal didn't really get into his stride ... or rather Djokovic didn't let him.  I was so nervous when he was serving it out, I had to turn the sound off! :^O

I had to leave the room at one point!  Was stressed! :^O

Great game and a great winner. But didn't Nadal look shocked?  I know it's disappointing when you lose but he showed signs that he really believed he was going to win.

And I do wish he would stop scratching his bot! :_|  :^O
