Hello to all our old friends and newcomers alike. Welcome to Bill & Charlie's Bar - the place to meet other posters and to sit and chat while you sample your favourite tipple. Plenty to drink, lots of joking but alas no smoking.

We are open all hours (hic) and run a respectable Bar. (Although I argued with Charlie until I was blue in the face over that one!) No swearing, spitting or drun..drunk...drunken beeeehaviour (hic). We have a couple of bouncers to hand ~ she comes in on Friday nights.

Teetotallers are welcome and will be treated as normal. I jest ~ soft drinks are available at the bar along with light snacks. And finally, please use the emergency exit when Bill rambles on about the good ol' days and put plugs in your ears when Charlie 'sings'.

It's all very well offering lemsips, but I had to send my husband to the shops alone, stops to glare at Bill.

I only asked him to get 2 things, potatoes and some veg for todays dinner.

When I asked him last night what veg he got, I was met with silence and no veg.

He's only bought 3 bags of potatoes and a pack of onions which I already had plenty of.

Am I seeing things,, did Bill offer a free dinner, has his medication been too strong, did someone sneak happy pills into his tea, questions, questions.

 No one was more surprised than me by my offer of a free dinner. I couldn't sleep that night!   But that's what happens when the doctor prescribes steroids. They do strange things to people. 

Apparently I was spotted down the town handing out five-pound notes to passers by. I trust should a free fiver or another free dinner come your way again you will refuse my offer!

Good morning Margaret. I was going to ask the same thing. Haven't seen him for about a week now.
