Hello to all our old friends and newcomers alike. Welcome to Bill & Charlie's Bar - the place to meet other posters and to sit and chat while you sample your favourite tipple. Plenty to drink, lots of joking but alas no smoking.
We are open all hours (hic) and run a respectable Bar. (Although I argued with Charlie until I was blue in the face over that one!) No swearing, spitting or drun..drunk...drunken beeeehaviour (hic). We have a couple of bouncers to hand ~ she comes in on Friday nights.
Teetotallers are welcome and will be treated as normal. I jest ~ soft drinks are available at the bar along with light snacks. And finally, please use the emergency exit when Bill rambles on about the good ol' days and put plugs in your ears when Charlie 'sings'.
Come on in...:-D

Let's lift the tone of this establishment, with a bit of Classical music.
Here we have the final movement in Beethoven's Symphony No 9, for your delectation.

Symphonies and Bar Wars! Quite a recipe! That's what makes this place special.
I have a recipe too. I had spaghetti on toast this morning and want to know why spaghetti loses its heat before you get the chance to finish it. A bit Facebooky but as it's so interesting I thought I'd share it with the punters.

*ugh*......can't stand spaghetti.....*retches*.......in fact I detest all them pasta dishes. Furrin' muck wot they are indeedy. Give me a nice meat and tattie pie, or a hot pot like wot Betty Turpin used to make. Does she still make them by the way ? I haven't been in yon Rovers since Hilda Alice Ogden (née Crabtree) went to keep house for Doctor Lowther.
Ah, poor Hilda. She didn't look much, she didn't weigh much, she didn't expect much, but she always managed. *sigh*

Heard that 'white Light white heat' song in a movie called Lawless
Very violent film about Bootleggers with a great soundtrack

Sounds not unlike Chas 'n' Dave's 'Gertcha', McB.
By the way, who's nicked Harriet's Avatar ? She'll be purple with rage.
Archie, I think both Frank Ifield and Karl Denver are doing a tour of the provinces in the Summer. They've adopted the mantle of Millican and Nesbitt....allegedly.
