Anne Maguire murder.

Will Cornick the teenager was 15 years old when he stabbed teacher Ann Maguire,61, to death as she taught at a class at Corpus Christi Catholic Colledge, in leeds in April.

He excchanged messages with a friend early on Christmas day on Facebook. ''In those messages he spoke of 'brutally killing' Mrs Maguire and spending the rest of his life in jail so as not to have to worry about life or money.''

He continues to show no remorse.  If ever someone was evil it must be him.  The only sentence for him surly is a whole life sentence.

At the moment the judge say's 20 years in prison, and he may serve a whole life sentence. Why give him any hope? He did not give Ann, any. And who should have this monster living next door to them without knowing it?  The judges  perhaps?

Warning there is a picture of Will Cornick on my attachment.

Re: Anne Maguire murder.

& of course your not having a little rant are you just because I don't agree with your point of view!, & of course because I don't I'm accused of revenge, tut, tut,😀

The op was a discussion on this case, it was a clear case of a planned ,thought out murder of a woman who had done no harm to anyone & was stood in front of her class of pupils, she had to suffer this objects attack on her & her pupils had to witness it!!!!!!
Perhaps if we had ,had to witness this brutality, we would spare a thought for the victim.
I say the same to you as I said to The other poster, it keeps going around in circles, we will never agree on this subject, so let's leave it at that please!!.

I accuse you of nothing.   I was speaking generally about the inevitable outcome if no one looks further than the specifics of any one crime.

Re: Anne Maguire murder.

Exactly CD, how many times have we seen the victims families say we warned police/authorities he/she was dangerous and they did nothing until it was too late.

In the first reports I read of this case he was described as a MODEL pupil, but gradually a different side has been described.

Yes ... and I have said several times I agree the sentence is appropriate.  But other posts have branched out to talk about other scenarios and other offences and expressed opinions about the system in general, and I was too.

Re: Anne Maguire murder.

I have to agree with what you say,
These repeated attacks on women cannot be sorted by a slap on the wrist & a light sentence it must be soul destroying for the Police especially as it's known very often it ends up as a murder!.
As far as I know hearsay without any back up proof although you can report it can't be acted on as you say until they carry that out the crime!
The police even with all the evidence are frequently thwarted by these do gooders who rush forward with help for. the criminal, mental health reports, anger management ,help with drug & alcohol addiction, education, courses etc , etc, all paid for by the people they prey on in all forms of nasty antisocial manner, ironic that isn't it?
They get more chances than the ordinary law abiding people who are struggling to make ends meet.
We are so frightened to express our disgust about the ingrates we have in our midst'
We should instead be giving our full support to the men & women on the frontline of these lowlife & stop this soft approach to all crime!.

Read this very carefully and see what all the do-gooders have done to justice for victims:-

Re: Anne Maguire murder.

Not a thing I suspect but never mind he will get all the help he needs! The outcome for this women could have been so different she was lucky many are not, for the little girl I wonder if she's obtained any help for her trauma I very much doubt it, all she's got is a fear of men probably for the rest of her life but for the moment she's being pushed along with her mother from one hovel to another! Not much justice for them is there! This so called caring society seems to be very selective in its overwhelming desire to be looked on as the better person!

Re: Anne Maguire murder.

I wonder what excuses will be made for allowing the man in this case to be let out of prison on early release? (His ex-partner had a lucky escape?):-

Ahh well you see, we need to be able to study and understand this Eye gouging, Face eating, syndrome........so we can make sure it never happens again. That way, as we're walking down the street, we'll instantly spot potential Eye gougers and Face eaters.Smiley Indifferent

Re: Anne Maguire murder.

I'm quite sure he gave the right noises to gain his freedom , & they went away patting each other on the back saying they had done a good job! & all the while their subject was giggling up his sleeve. Job well done!!. & the prison guards were taking bets on how long it would be before they had the dubious honour of his company again!!!.

Once again I repeat, he boasted to friends not a professional , how on earth were they to know it wasn't just a boast!!
We're just going round in circles here , let's agree to disagree & leave it at that,
Thanks for an intersting debate Lambsy! I enjoyed it.😀

You may gain some comfort in the fact that they don't all get released, some spend all their live in places like Broadmoor and Holloway. Brady, Hindley, Sutcliffe and others.

Nice to be able to discuss without getting personal. Smiley Happy

If do-gooders and the understanding types, what to be that way........fine..........but they should understand that potentially they take chances with OTHER peoples lives. I'd execute them and NEVER take the chance that they would EVER kill again. I have the right to gamble with my own life, but NOT with other peoples.

Surely keeping them locked up also means removing all chance of them killing again.

@cee-dee wrote:

All this "understanding" and "study" gets absolutely nowhere.

We see men (it's usually men) who repeatedly assault women and they're repeatedly let out on bail where they do the same thing again, repeated several times over. Why is that? Because do-gooders have ensured that it's "wrong" to lock 'em up first off.

Now let us say that someone (anyone) decided that they'd "report" what that teen had been saying and writing? Who would they report it to and what action do you think might have been taken? OK, so it's conjecture but on past performances it's always turned out that "nothing can be done" until he actually does something.

Don't you think it's absolutely sickening that the police waste loads of time and effort (not to mention the cost of it) apprehending ne'er-do-wells only to see them let off virtually scott-free time and time again so what chance would there be for anything to be done about that boy?

"He's threatened to kill his teacher" and "He's got some sort of fixation about her". So?????

"Now look here Will, that's not nice saying that, don't be a naughty boy, go and sit down and behave there's a good lad".

No matter how much you rant and rave, nothing will be done because before anything can be done, many, many years of work by liberal (with a small "L") do-gooders will have to be undone first.

Well if these are the problems you face then these are the problems you need to tackle! I'd rather advocate tackling the problems than sitting by and doing nothing!

Now we have had this case perhaps people will take notice of the next kid who displays similar behaviour.

I have little time for Do-Gooders but at least they do something where others just moan and whinge! If some people stopped moaning about the brick walls they are likely to face and instead made an effort to knock them down, perhaps we may actually make progress!

Re: Anne Maguire murder.

The reason people don't now attempt to dismantle the barriers to appropriate justice is because the moment they raise a voice and their head above the parapet not only do they get shouted down, they're verbally abused and threatened with dire consequences if they don't duck down behind the parapet again!

Seeing what happens to those brave souls puts off anyone else from trying the same stunt.

And how many times do you think people with mental illness and/or troubles minds are supported and further problems curtailed?

But prevention and support does not make headlines does it, you only hear of the ones that slipped through!

Take kids being taken from families by social services, that is a preventative measure used to protect the well being of the child, to possibly prevent another Baby P or Victoria Climbe. And I asure you there are mentally ill people also receiving support which is perhaps suppressing their violent tendances! This is because the signs have been recognised and preventative measure put in place.
